Does it include Billiards, or just Pool ?

    • If you turn up to this pool party with your cue stick, all you will do is snooker kid's fun

pity, fencing laws has made all pools expensive to own even portable/temp ones.

    • only if you follow them, or live in a nazified council.
Lots of places ignore them, or give warnings. Rangers have bigger things to worry about than paddle pools.

you would be surprised at the amount of stickybeaks…. the fines far outweigh the discounts.
My council is …efficient… when it comes to such things.

        • My council is cool. I phoned them for info, and got "I am obliged to tell you that building permits are required … "
The message was clear :-) But I do have a self-closing gate from the street.

City of Joondalup officers made three return visit to inspect my fencing because a couple of pieces of wood (that's 3 out of ~450) had warped making 12mm horizontal spacing instead of required 10mm. They take fencing very seriously

  • We installed a pool fence to suit a 3.6m pool - had one of the steel-sided ones at the time. The liner got punctured by nutgrass …… won't go into that ….. it was cheaper to get one of the inflatable ring type ones this year than to replace the liner. It bulged REALLY badly, and is getting worse the longer it sits there. Needless to say, we no longer have the correct clearances with the fence.
