Another one bites the dust. Some titles good value like Studio Ghibli blu ray for $15. Got Twin Peaks S 1 & 2 $10 per season, great value (season 2 has 6 DVDs!)
Ex Rental Weekly Dvd are $10, Blu Ray $15, 3D and Games $30. TV series $10/15 complete seasons. Buying in bulk and they get lot cheaper, start from $7.
It's a big drive for me to get there, what Ghibli films were there? :)
Tales from earth sea only on BR, dvd has grave of fire flies, arriety, ponyo, yamadas, poppy hill, nausicaa, moving caste, lupina iii, castle in sky. They don't have Spirited Away or Totoro. I was hoping for these on Blu Ray.
Cheers, was hoping for Princess Mononoke on Blu ray. Hard to find and pricey at JB.
@KSS: yeah no luck on that one either. The have Mononoke on DVD and porco rosso too. Think I bought last Blu Ray Ghibli films and Wolf Children

My suburb still has one. they are dropping off like flies.
Have to say it's really tough running any movie rental business. You'd have to rely on those who can't easily stream or download. Or something really unusual and not offered otherwise.
Blockbuster shutting down in Waratah, Newcastle at present. Most good stuff gone but some weekly blu-rays for $8.95 and new release blu-rays $15.
A bit sad to see so many shutting down. Apparently the stores have to sign up for the franchise for either five or ten years and it's not economical for the owners.
Can get NEW BD and DVD's for under $10 a JB

Every good ozbargain vulture should come in to grab a bargain on a bankrupt close-down sale! Tell the cashier with pride that you are only there for a bargain, and have never patronized the store in years gone by!
Don't know if you are being sarcastic but I have been renting from NB blockbuster over the past two years. It's the only way I'll see the IMDB top 250 efficiently.
