    $799 don't you mean?

    • Thanks, my bad.

    • $700 would have been a great price :-)

      • Buy from Amazon France

        • Good pickup hawamahal…my calculation is around $662 delivered from France to Oz…not that I'm buying on this occasion..just sayin'

It sounds like an excellent phone, but really $799?. I don't know how anyone could even consider dropping that amount of change, when you have a lot excellent options for $400 or less, and with the new mediatek soc's coming out with nearly identical performance for $250 or less. I don't think there will be much of a market for $800 dollar phones when some chinese and korean manufacturers are pumping the same stuff out for $400 and a lot less

      shoutout to meizu and xiaomi

    • 800 bucks is huge and I wouldnt pay it but to be fair I havent seen any phone like this.

    • It's not aimed at you (or me), but an excuse to give the engineers a chance to build a "no-compromise" phone, the people for whom $800 is negligible (or those who get to choose a phone that their work buys) a status symbol to buy. The payoff is partly in the engineering lessons learned, but mostly in the free marketing courtesy of the technology press, which perhaps causes more modest buyers to consider the lesser phones by Motorola.

(Disclaimer: I recently bought a sub-$200 Moto G 4G, so perhaps I was influenced by this tactic?)

      • no sd card… big compromise right there if you ask me

        • Fair call - even my Moto G has an SD card.

I think the Note 4 for $774 is a better deal.

Nexus phonesno longer interest me. Nexus 4 was brilliant and a lot of phone for the price. Nexus 5 got a bit more expensive but still alright value vs alternatives, but now Nexus 6 is just gone stupid expensive and we still don't get a microsd slot. It's really only for fanboys who want the "pure android experience" (whatever that suppose to mean) straight out of the box.

    • Just because local retail chain need to make couple hundreds of margin from Nexus 6, so Google have to pump up the price to match

  • tempting phone but i think ill wait for the galaxy s6

  • The price of this phone is a joke.what is google turning into apple..are we starting to get a google tax now?

I love google phones and yes i want the pure andriod experience. But this over the top!

Hopefully they will release a phone for the plebs in their next refresh.

  • If it aint 64GB no deal!

  • Just a heads up if you're going to buy from these guys, it's Chinese stock.
I bought a Nexus 5 from them. It shipped from Hong Kong, and all the documentation was in Chinese.

    • I am actually surprised that the doco is only in Chinese. I thought with Asia, the manuals come extra thick and has English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese and a bunch of other languages in them.

  • Buy it from Amazon France http://www.amazon.fr/dp/B00OZ4T6VQ. Less than $700 posted
