• Hmmm…postcode 2161 NSW and I was charged $19.95 shipping. That doesn't seem right does it?

• no that doesnt seem right…
Its $14.95 for one item and $22.43 for two

• QQQ if you're around could you please help me with my order then? Number 732735…I have already sent an email off as well, but hoping it can arrive before Wednesday next week as I am going overseas on that day :D Please do what you can…

• Strange, can you please contact CS via helpcenter link…

• Yep done…could you give me an estimate of shipping time to 2161 NSW? Thanks

• +1

VIC to NSW is 2 business days.

If it leaves today you should see it on Tuesday

• How much was the shipping last time you all had the eeepc 1000HE for $399 after paypal cashback? I got charged for $19.95 to ACT and was surprised that it is so high. Was it an error or it was indeed $19.95 last time? thanks.

• Q, i have a question about the paypal cash back.

Is the cash back given from COTD as an incentive to have people use paypal or does paypal hand out the cash back?

• What's the deal on these 'paypal cashback' offers? I bought an Acer 1810T off you guys on Sept 30 for '$799 ($879 minus $80 paypal cashback)'. The cashback was written as 'will be paid into paypal account by October 31st' (i paid via a credit card established paypal account). It's not there yet… when you say 'by' date x, do you mean 'on' that date or any time up till that date? In other words is my chance of getting this cashback looking pretty slim or most likely to turn up tomorrow? (at the last minute)

I'd kinda factored it as a '$799' purchase, given that was the price boldened on your website to make the sale, but got a bit of a 'paypal deals with that stuff, not our problem' type response to an email i sent to the staff who run your site/answer questions.

• Scratch that. Two minutes after i wrote finally got an email '$80 cashback in account'.

• Whats the point of the U50VG being 999? it has a g105m lol…

The X60SL has a 4570 which is far superior.
same specs but better vid card.. it also has more usb ports and a larger screen for $100 cheaper.

• I think your paying for the LED screen…
I'm guessing but it probably has a better battery life as well

• Um, these arnt bargains…

• Hi Guys
Can anybody advice me please if the Lenovo G550 one is a good bargain?
(Overall performance against price/brand etc)

Is there any better deal currently (same spec)?
Thanks all

• The Lenovo is cheaper at MSY but with less RAM, but you can easily get that up for cheaper I think. No free delivery this time, can be a deal breaker.

• hi Rumbaar,

Are you sure? MSY one is Celeron model only, the daily deal one is T4200…!

T4200 @ $599, isn't it a better deal than Celeron 900 @ $539 ??… mate!

• Hi Bappy,

the link below is the review of this G550 notebook, hope it helps.

Cheers

• nothing out of the ordinary… was just looking at the 1005HA..

http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/18252 - probably better value here..

• but the jbhifi deal was for the 3-cell battery

• oh gosh :S they got to stop making these netbook so damn confusing!

• Thanks Rumbaar - I guess I can pickup from MSY (if available in QLD)

BTW - all COTD is claiming all ASUS listed are HD, but its not
Highest is 1366 x 768

• Technically anything over 720 can be called HD, sad.

• Anything over 576P actually.

• Yeah also is QQQ around, as I think the ASUS X60SL-170C is in fact the Asus X61SL-6X170C?? There is no real listing for an Asus X60SL anywhere, they also have X61 on the front screen graphic.

Which on Staticice the cheapest is $1107

• I see you/they have corrected some of the incorrect spec codes, but you might want to fix it in the following as well. Specially when you say to Google it for comparison

"As seen online for up to $1247 - today on Catch just $899 after PayPal cashback. Do your research and google this part number: X60SL-170C

The Asus X60SL laptop is an excellent budget gaming solution featuring a …. "

• I find the last catch on Samsung R620 much better.

$1199 for R620 vs $1349 for N50Vn

• The R620 didn't come with Blu Ray or an LED screen

• you're right but..
it came with a 4650 and P8700

• Performance wise the two graphics cards are almost identical however the CPU is definately that tiny bit faster.

• Anyone knows what is the main difference between 1000HE and 1005HA?

• There appears to be a firesale everywhere for Asus notebooks! Any reasons why?

• There are HEAPS of new ASUS notebook line up coming up… they basically trying to clear up old stocks..

One of the one that I'm really keen waiting… ASUS EEE Keyboard PC,

http://www.cnet.com.au/hands-on-asus-eee-keyboard-that-s-a-m…

• wow! that is a cool concept p0c1

• lol im waiting for that too except i dont want to pay full price for it. gunna wait till the firesale for it haha and the tablet eepc too

• nice! kinda reminds me of a c64.

• +1

windows 7 lappies on the way in … vista lappies on the way out

• How come the Asus N50VN doesn't have any HDMI connection??

with all the cool specs… big HD, Graphic Cards, BluRay Drive…and all..

Isn't that a bit silly ??

BluRay -> HDMI …?

• Expect to be waiting several days for delivery. I'm still waiting for my r620 (orded 20th Oct 1pm) to be sent, it still hasn't left their wherehouse

Lets hope not! I know a Wednesday order is still processing for me. Hopefully the stock is physically there, really want my notebook ASAP. But I'm sure Melb Cup holiday weekend will not help !

• Only a 1 year warranty for the asus models? I thought usually they come with a 2 year warranty?

• Has anyone got their netbook/notebook yet?
My order is not even processed yet and its status has always been 'Payment Received' since Friday.
How long does it take normally?

• This was the response I got when I asked when these would be dispatched:

Due to the public holiday in Melbourne, processing has been delayed a couple of days
though it should be shipped out very soon, you will be notified once your order has been dispatched.
