  • Hi rep,

I had an issue with a 3 in 1 Mini DP DisplayPort (Thunderbolt) to DVI HDMI DP Adapter that I purchased from your store a few weeks ago, sent an email to [email protected] on Monday but haven't had a response yet.

Can you have this followed up for me?

    • +2

      kindly check your email, cheers

      • +1

        Thanks! :)

  • You guys have been good to deal with last couple times. Love the lay out of your xiaomi pages - is this done by you? Very informative and has all the relevant tech info. Thanks, got one!

    • doh - got mine last night for 24.95. nice price.
  • :( any 10000mAh or 160000mAh

    • +7

yes, very special price with the combo deal

      *Xiaomi 10400mAh Power Bank +19.95
      *Xiaomi 5200mAh Power Bank +12.95
      *Xiaomi 16000mAh Power Bank +29.95

      • +1

        Nice, but I only want a 16000mAh!

      • How do we buy this combo deal? I put all above products in my cart and it appears as $49.95+$19.95+$32.95
Do I need to attach a discount code?

        • +1

You need to click the above link and click the checkboxes for the other power banks.

        • @silent1:
Thanks for the reply. unfortunately was too late. Already bought single one. Kicking myself now.

  • Is the Lightning cable Made for iPhone certified? I've had a few non-MFI ones fail after software updates.

    • +2

It's genuine apple lighting cable (no retail package)

  • SO the *Xiaomi 10400mAh Power Bank is cheaper than the 5000mAh (19.95)

Can I just get that for that price? Is the only difference that the 5000 is a slim build?

    • +1

from what I understand you buy 5000mAh then if you add the 10400mAh then its 19.95 + the price of the (500mAh )

  • +1

Grabbing two of these for $19.95 each delivered seems like good value for genuine Aussy stock. Great store, can also give +1.

  • Contemplating on getting a 2x 5000 mah or 1x 5000 and 1x 10400….. what do people think about this?

    • +1

      I'm getting a 5000 and a 10400.

Been waiting for a deal on a 10400 and was hoping it might include a smaller one in that deal.

10400 for charging when I have no power…. 5000 for in my pocket.

Oh…and waiting for mushtato….Aussie company and apparently good on OzB with follow ups.

      • +1

You could say, compare capacity V portability. If your use would be to charge/back up a tablet on long travels, then a 10400mAh would be handy. If use is primarily to top up daily use of a smartphone, then having two thin and light 5000mAh batteries might work better.

Pro's and Con's for both, horses for courses. Both top notch quality. I have two 10400mAh, love the capacity, but also use a lighter thinner one purchased from Kogan that I have recently gifted to someone else, so this will replace that nicely.

        • Imo the 16000 mAh is actually more portable than the 10400 because it's slimmer and easier to handle

        • @mon34480: i already bought the 10400, I thought the 16000 might be too bulky…..

        • +1

@albanyson: 16000mHa is actually not that bulky, 1.5 size of 10400

        • @mushtato:

Thanks for response mon34480 and rep. Yeah,…I thought the same as the above comment from albanyson, that the 16000 mAh would be heavier and more bulky. in the photo, it does look fairly compact and nice form factor for capacity. For my use, I prefer having a mix of medium to small batteries, and love the really thin ones that are easily put in bag or pocket and are more of an emergency back up/to up.

I have to admit, I have moved on from Eneloops to these, and now have a decent collection of battery banks. I think they are such a good idea, I keep giving them as gifts to friends and family. At that point a Bargain Becomes Expensive, but good Fun :-)

        • @ozhunter68:
Hmmm eneloops…. how can you move on from them when so many things in the house uses AA or AAA. Modded your appliances to use a power bank?

        • +1

          @lplau:

Hahaha,…what I meant was that I have stopped purchasing ( bordering on collecting :-) Eneloops, and moved on to getting various model power banks. I use them all, but in typical OzBargain way, buy more than I really need. Hence every now and then, to ease my conscience, I give one or two away as gifts. Most older non tech people don't even know about them, so happy punters. Win, Win.

        • @mushtato:

          Ordered the 18th…..still not received.

Ordered locally for a fast(er) delivery.

Perhaps ordering locally….. is still no quicker

        • @albanyson: Please track online with the tracking number provide. Give local Auspost a ring if possible, sometime they held parcel for collection without leaving a card.

        • @albanyson: Check if it is shipped. Auspost took forever to move mine. No updates from Sunday until Thurs, hopefully will have it today:

        • @albanyson: Geekbuying takes at least 15 days (from my two purchases), at least it's better than that :)

  • Trying to buy……
But websitevkeeps saying connection is not secure, using chrome on my mobile.

    ???

    • please try using computer or a different browser, thanks

  • Any deal for the 16000 soon? Need a few of those :3

Dont really want order form overseas

    • Yes, they have been reduced to a low $29.95 after initial purchase of a thin 5000mAh for $21.95. Thin is perfect as mobile emergency back up without the bulk and weight. Great for leaving in glovebox of car ect. Most people love this form factor.

      • +1

Great for leaving in glovebox of car ect.

Just keep in mind that heat will damage li-ion batteries.
I keep a spare li-ion battery for a radio of mine in a thermos flask in my boot.

Hi Rep, can order now but only dispatch later on March?
    Overseas now and nobody's home.

    Also, can stack the promo items? eg: 1x 5000 slim + 2x 10400 ?

    • Just get it sent to me and I'll "take care" of it for you. :)

      • Austpost will then be credited with postage twice ;-)

  • Hi Rep
I ordered one plus the 16000ma one and the apple cable which came to $60.85, however when to pay via paypal it charged only $55, I sent a email this morning via your web site.

    • +3

      ain't that a good thing ?

    • I think that's because PayPal doesn't show GST for some reason - I had the same, PayPal showed a lower amount but I was charged as per Mushtato's confirmation screen.

      • thanks Bozbargain, hope you are right.

  • Hi Rep, I have a 5000mAh in cart for $21.95 and a 5200mAh but it shows $19.95 instead of $12.95. What am I doing wrong, is there a code for the special combo price?? Would appreciate a tip from others. Cheers.

    • +2

@ozhunter68: you need to add the 5200mAh from the 5000mAh page in the box below the picture that says "please choose", not as a separate item in your cart.

      • Thanks Domingo. How could I miss that :-)

      • thank you, that was the correct way to earn all the "specials" :-)

  • Thanks rep!

  • +1

Thanks Rep! was going to buy the 1600mAh this morning, so got the 5000 and the 16000 :D

    • nice catch :)

  • Where are these shipped from? I'm heading overseas in 3 weeks so hoping they ship from within Australia.

Also, any deals on just the 10400mah or 16000mah models? I have no interest in the 5000mah model.

    Thanks!

    • They are a locally owned Australian business.

You should get it within 2-4 business days! I received mine in 2 days delivered to SA.

  • Nice timing… Bought the 5000 slim and addition 10000, lightning micro usb adapter, lightning cable, and led for $66….

Simply don't understand these things. Why don't people just bring their chargers with them, because this this is simply just one more thing that you're forget to charge.

    They're small enough these days?

    • +1

Where are you going to plug in your charger when you're not at home or at work?

You might not mind being stuck next to a wall for two hours, but others do. :)

      • Horses for courses. I've long debated getting one of these when I was travelling. In the end, I just took my phone charger with me. The new charges are very small, free (in that it was something I already had) and you can easily get enough charge for the rest of the day in just 15 mins in a coffee shop or lunch place or whatever (due to 'quick charging', and charge up fully in the room at night).

Most people I know who has bought one of these either forget to bring it or charge it in reality.

Neg if you want, but to me this is a smart, free and enviro friendly solution I use and wanted to share with others.

        • +2

and you can easily get enough charge for the rest of the day in just 15 mins

Those of us who actually use our phones heavily or while travelling (GPS, translator, photo and video camera, keeping in touch with others) will know very well that a 15 minute charge will not be enough for the "rest of the day".

Neg if you want, but to me this is a smart, free solution I use and wanted to share with others.

I do hope you realize that not everybody spends time near a power socket, and not all coffee shops or lunch places have sockets near their tables that are available for customers to use.

What is more considerate to a restaurateur - during busy lunch hour, 20 customers charging their phones themselves at their tables, or 20 customers asking if they can plug their phones in to the restaurant's wall sockets?

It's fine if you "simply don't understand" how it's far more convenient for your phone to be charging while in your pocket or bag rather than carrying your charger with you in the hope that there'll be a free power socket somewhere.

But I hope you understand that your needs and requirements are not necessarily the same as other people's needs and requirements. Just because you can't fathom how such a device could be useful doesn't mean that the device is a complete waste of money for others. There are plenty of people in this world, and they don't all eat at restaurants or coffee shops with power sockets, or are able to get enough charge in 15 minutes to last the rest of the day.

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-qeFszcfFo

        • @eug: Of course I understand my needs are not necessarily the same as other peoples. Other people however may not have considered this alternative solution and I think it's a great one.

I prefer to travel without a backpack, and I'm not sure how big your pockets are but I certainly couldn't fit one of these in mine together with my smartphone. Travelling through Europe and Russia I had no shortage of power points near the tables at restaurants and cafes (I personally wouldn't ask the wait staff either).

It's just another option I wanted to share that works better for me (and I'm not saying it's a perfect one, but it's free, worked well on a recent trip and was less stuff to carry). Please don't be so religious about the whole thing.

        • +1

          @domcc1:

Of course I understand my needs are not necessarily the same as other peoples.

That's good, it just didn't seem like it from your original post:

Simply don't understand these things. Why don't people just bring their chargers with them, because this this is simply just one more thing that you're forget to charge.

          .

and I'm not sure how big your pockets are but I certainly couldn't fit one of these in mine together with my smartphone.

Have you seen one in person? This is 9.9mm thick and pretty much the size of a smartphone, so if you can fit two phones in your pocket, then it'll fit. The Romoss 2600mAh one is even more compact if this one's too large.

Travelling through Europe and Russia I had no shortage of power points near the tables at restaurants and cafes

We have different holiday styles I suppose. In Europe I don't remember power points in any of the restaurants I was at. I'd have to make sure I sit next to a wall or pillar and hope there's also a power point on it.

(I personally wouldn't ask the wait staff either).

If it wasn't marked or understood to be a public power point, wouldn't that be considered stealing electricity? :)

It's just another option I wanted to share that works better for me

That's all good if you word it like that. Your original post sounded like you were dismissing anyone who uses these things.

"I simply don't understand why people would <xyz>. Why don't they just <abc>? <xyz> is less convenient because <pqr>"

BTW these support passthrough charging. When you're back at home or at the hotel, you can plug your phone charger into the powerbank, and plug the power bank into your phone. Both devices will be fully charged in the morning.

and was less stuff to carry

If I wasn't carrying a bag, I'd personally prefer carrying a slim or compact power bank in back pocket rather than a chunky charger plus travel converter that requires a wall socket. Those euro plugs are huge, and the slimmest aussie ones are still a chunk.

The most compact charger I have is my HP Palm charger with US pins. It's only 1A though, so phones would charge a lot more slowly.

    • +1

Obviously you've never been on a flight to Europe in a seat without USB ports.

  • +1

Own one. Super slim. Really good.

    • how much charge can it give a normal mobile phone (eg- nexus5)?

      • +2

it can do around 1 charge and a half to full for nexus 5 and most mobile phones.

  • +1

finally decided to get one! cheers

  • +3

Does it come with the short flat micro USB cable shown in the picture?

    • +2

I'd assume yes, given the 10400mAh Xiaomi one does, as does every other one I've purchased so far from other brands (Romoss of various sizes and some other random one)

    • Rep can you confirm this? Need the cable for my Xiaomi phone.

Apparently the short cord is more reliable for faulty micro usb ports on Xiaomi devices.

      • I didn't know about any faulty micro usb ports on Xiaomi devices, as I'm kinda keen on getting one.
Is it on a particular model or all?

        • +1

Redmi Note 4G. Had it for a week. Suddenly usb connections doesn't work. Charging and Fastboot works but. such a shame because I love it otherwise.

        • @PainToad:
          So only on this model?
          Thanks for the heads up.

    • +1

Yes, it does (received mine yesterday).

      • +1

Thanks mate. Ordered one, hope it fixes my problem.

  • +3

I appreciate your deals and the genuineness of the Xiaomi products you sell.

But you must be very young if you think "with current historic low Aussie Dollar rate we’re going through a very tough time."

Those born before the new millennium started will remember that traditionally the current exchange is quite high compared to its long term average. Given the tapering of the mining boom from construction to production, combined with lower receipts for that production and the inevitable easing of the long-term Chinese growth rate (they can't go keep building ghost cities endlessly), don't expect the A$ to bounce back any time soon. Historic low? Try US$0.49 back in 2001.

    • I think we all know what they mean by "historic low".

  • Hi Rep,
Is it possible to order 2 units under the same order, but have each sent to a different address?

    • +2

Probably not, as I guess the discount is somewhat linked to the postage savings, since the postage is already built into the price.

  • +1

I am trying to checkout but it is giving me an error that the site is not private and hackers may be trying to get access.

This error happens when I try to go to checkout or when I go to the pay via PayPal option.

Please double check what is happening and advise how to proceed.

    • What browser are you using? I don't get that error on IE 11 and Chrome.

      • I was using Chrome on my android phone. I managed to make the purchase using pc.

  • Hi Rep,

How are these posted? eParcel or regular letter?
Curious because eParcel takes much longer typically to WA

  • Hi mushtato,
    I've sent you a pm
    Tks!

  • do we get a email with the e-parcel tracking number once it has been dispatched? Thanks

    • +2

Yes, I bought one lastnight and got tracking info this arvo :)

  • +1

Yo Rep, do you guys stock the silicone cases for the power banks? More specifically for the 16000mah one?

  • Wasn't the led $4.95 last time?

Thanks OP, I just ordered this with the 16000 beast and led.

  • Thought I'd missed out but was happy to see the discount still available.

    • Hahaha,…..me too. Was in the same boat and was notified by Mushato that the deal would end at 5 pm. Friday the 20th. after making an inquiry with them. Great service and extremely fair play.

      • Didn't realise until a few days later that I hadn't received an order confirmation, checked paypal and the order hadn't gone through.

Emailed Mushtato and they haven't been helpful. Guess they're busy.

  • Got mine yesterday (super fast shipping, thanks OP!), beautiful design - people at the office said they didn't know Apple made power banks! One thing to point out though is that the edges feel a bit rough, could potentially scratch your smartphone. Also, it's a bit bigger than an iPhone 5 - to me it looked smaller on one of the promo pictures on the website (but I'm sure the measurements as stated are accurate).

  • Got a 5000 and a 16000 on Friday morning. Waiting for mine to be processed. Hope it is posted soon…..

  • +1

Received 5000 and 10400 this morning. Took 2 business days to be delivered to Brisbane CBD. All good

  • Ordered Saturday, still not shipped. No where near as impressive as when I brought Pistons from him.

    • +1

Their page says items will be shipped within 24 hours of payment confirmation. I assume that happens on Monday when they get back to work, so it should be shipped today.

      • I don't think it's too unrealistic to expect orders purchased on a Saturday, to be shipped on Monday. But today would be acceptable-ish.

        • It might depend on what you ordered. I ordered a 5000mAh as well as a 5200mAh late Friday afternoon and received my Paypal Payment confirmation shortly after. Today I got an email stating that the 5200mAh model is out of stock, but they are more than happy to Upgrade my order to the Thin Light 5000mAh model for FREE, or give you a partial refund and cancel this item.

That might be a reason for some peoples delay who ordered towards the end of this deal, unless you paid via Bank Deposit, in which case funds take a few days to clear for first time transfers. Great service from Mushato for giving us this option. For $12.95 for the 5000mAh model delivered, that must be close to COST Price. Sometimes it pays to be late :-)

        • +1

Just got a shipping number. Judging by the other comments, he must of got smashed with orders. Totally understandable.

        • +1

@ozhunter68: Thanks mate, really do appreciated your understanding. trying to be different to all those oversea competitors. It is not easy.
