Workzone Table or Suction Vice $14.99 Each at ALDI (Saturday 21st February 2015)

100

ALDI has the these table and suction vices for sale again, they only do it once a year in February it seems. Stock is limited. At 8am this morning there were 3 people buying them as soon as the store opened. It's a dice roll which stores carry what quantity.

Quality isn't all that great but maximum bang for buck and they will do the job.

How much do they normally sell them for ?

    • +3

It's a once per year offer while stocks last.

I got one of these a few years ago, possibly the first time they ever had them. It broke the first time I used it, cast alloy and horribly weak.

They might be better now though, certainly couldn't be any worse.

They seem to sell these for the same price, so it's hardly a bargain for this brand….

    • I bought one of each last year,I.e. the clamp and auction cup base ones.
Like you, I also broke The clamp one the first time I used it, while the suction cup one didn't stick to my bench top.

Might as well get a light-weight one for 2-3x the price from bunnings to save yourself the hassle.

Don't hang around Aldi's door, you will get the clamp.

My Aldi has not yet had a single deal posted here

  • These are good if your bench is made of glass/plastic otherwise… don't bother imo. Maybe a good gps holder?

They also have clamp ones for the same price.

  • Might be good for the kitchen… Extra set of hands

  • Just bought a suction vice and a 4 sided diamond stone that was next to it for $10 which is a c-c-c-combo breaker if you want to sharpen knives for $25. set the stone in the vice at the angle you want to sharpen and then hold the knife flat. It's a really easy way to get an even edge. Did a few knives and the vice didn't move at all and I was pressing pretty hard.
