Just saved $15/person each way compared to the Jetstar sale
using Jetstar price beat. which is about $50/person each way cheaper then when I looked last night.
Domestic or international? For Domestic flights I always find it hard to find a flight within an hour.
Depends on the route I guess, but on the triangle routes BNE/SYD/MEL they're easy to find.
OK, so the JQ price beat in essence is within the hour on same routing? Is there a 'bonus' from JQ for the price beat, as I didn't quite follow the 2nd part of yr post. Cheers
They give 10% off and no booking fee for me.
So, for example:
TigerAir OOL-SYD on August 5th (any day works) is normally $38.22 with TRIP20 down from $49. There are $45 flights but promo code won't work on them.
Jetstar price match will make that $34.39 and no booking fee.The best part is tiger usually has day flights (midday to 3pm) at very cheap prices. Jetstar usually only has morning or night flights at that price. So you end up with a significant discount.
There's a double bonus
1) They beat the fare by 10%

It was $65 with Jetstar, $55 with Tiger
So we got it for $50 ($15 cheaper).
When I was looking last night it was $105 ($55 cheaper)
Doesn't Jetstar only pricebeat the fare before applying the promo code?
They will price beat any public offer on an Australian website. If the promo code is public (not restricted) they match that.

They refused to PB tigers coupon earlier after I clearly pointed out the coupon code was emblazoned across the tiger webpage..will be pretty annoyed if that's the case as I have now booked 4 tickets with tiger.
I'm finding the cut off date is 24 July, not 28 July as mentioned in the promo.
