Wow they upgraded their deal. If only they did this a month ago. Just switched to them for a $30 Caltex gift card.

QBE is also offering a $50 card if you're over 30.

You can keep switching each year for a reward.

    • I believe the QBE is "upto" $50?
Just switched over to Suncorp and was told I will get the $50 card. Sorry YoungCare.

I must be too far over 30 cause I only got $25 card…

  • Good timing. Setup the Bpay it the other day. Can cancel the pending BPay, change CTP and set it up again. Win all round.

Anything similar out there in QLD for under 30s??

  • A few days ago, I went to QBE site to switch so I filled out the details and submitted. Never made any payment. Never received any confirmation. Can I just switch to Suncorp even if I submitted with QBE?

Will Suncorp send me a renewal CTP? I already have the QLD government rego renewal.

You get the card after the current rego period runs out.

      It's a 2 step process.
You need to switch CTP to Suncorp (or whoever) before the current rego runs out via the insurance company website and not through Qld Transport website.
The insurance company website will take you to the Qd Transport website.
Then your next renewal notice will automatically be sent out as usual but with your desired CTP insurance provider. Then some time into the new period you will receive your money card from the new provider.

You can do this anytime during the current period for the next period. It's best to do it when you receive your renewals each year - then you'll know who to switch to, or back to, next.

      Rinse and repeat.

Note: Period means 12 months - don't pay for 6 months renewal, or you won't get the money card, but you will get switched.

    • You'll get an updated renewal now because you changed the CTP details. You'll get your money soon after the new period begins.

      • Thanks MITM, so it is perfectly ok that I switched to QBE a few days ago but made no payments and I can switch to Suncorp now.

      • I see now in the QLD tmr site, it was changed to QBE. I have submitted for Suncorp to be my CTP. Will check in a few days if it has been updated then I will make payment.

  • Can you change your CTP insurer if your rego is not up for renewal?

  • Received the $50 card and spent on fuel instantly. Where in the T&Cs says over 50 yo? Click through the link and seems the deal is still on.
