  • I don't see how to create a user account?
    The link on the website:
    http://www.emsisoft.com/en/order/24h/

It did not ask any user account creation such as email address.
How to turn the trial to full version then?

    • From memory you create an account at the end of the install (to get updates). This deal is not available for a week though.

      • copy of email I sent today to a squared when they rejected my application because I had created an account early:
        FYI:

I only opened the account in anticipation of the free offer.
I spent a lot of time reading up on your offer.
I have not implemented your software as I was waiting for this offer.
someone on the site which told me of your offer suggested that I needed an account so I set one up.
sorry if I caused a mixup but I am very disappointed after doing considerable due diligence and reading all the reviews on your site only to be told sorry, I cannot take up the offer which is what I wanted to do in the first place.
your site was silent on registration so it was my mistake registering early.

        • I did the same thing. Just create a free email account at Yahoo or Gmail and use that.

  • This is cool. I really love their other software. I would highly recommend it

  • in the bottom left corner you can click a link to create a new user account, I can highly recommend their free program and will be taking this offer up.

    thanks wfdTamar

There are free utilities to do this (Adaware)[http://www.lavasoft.com/] and spybot search and destroy, that are both superier to this program. They have been around a lot longer, and were there in the beginning when the first malware was around.

  • AdAware & Spybot used to be the leaders in the AntiSpyware field (I used to use them on clients computers). It's very debatable that they still are. They are not anti virus tools (the pay for AdAware versions are).

I'm a computer tech and I'm on an email discussion group of tech's from around the world and we all generally agree that asquared (and MalwareBytes) are in the fore front for this type of thing. AdAware & Spybot are not (but it can't hurt to use them too).

If you're not sure, try them all. They're all free. I'm pretty sure you can install asquared in a way that it doesn't run in the background so wouldn't slow your computer and could be a backup to your normal Antivirus (etc) suite.

A-Squared the best for finding rootkits and trojans in my opinion.
Picks up a lot of stuff that the others don't.

It's similar to Kaspersky picking up more than NOD32.
