Buy any undie from the Bonds Fit range and get $10 cash back. These go for less than $17 everyday at Big W so $7 for trunks is pretty good, considering Bonds are good quality.

One claim per purchase, so as long as you buy a single pair of undies per transaction, you can get $10 back on each.

Awesome deal, great first post phildo

sweet, my old pairs had holes….. for my legs

    • +3

That would be quite uncomfortable. Mine had a third whole for my waist.

Pacific brands is in a bad situation right now. They made their decision to quit manufacturing in Australia based on the prospect that the AUD would continue to plummet, knowing that their reputation in Australia would plummet due to the loss of Australian jobs. With the recent rebound of the AUD, they're out of pocket and in the bad books of many Australians. I think we can expect to see many more name-building campaigns over the coming months.

I find a forth hole to be ideal to be honest

I'm half inclined to negative this purely to encourage boycotting Chinese made undies..

I hope the board are all sacked at the next AGM. They've destroyed the goodwill of the brand and with any luck will make a loss this financial year..

        • Agreed.

        • I've checked the labels of some of my older Bonds - I must have bought them two years ago - they weren't made in Australia then.

        • Totally agree . I'll never buy another one of their products . The way they treated their employees was rotton .

        • A strong dollar kills manufacturing, while a weak dollar gives it a massive boost. It's because when our dollar is strong the overseas and chinese made goods, e.g. undies are suddenly cheaper, thus people switch from buying locally to sourcing overseas.

In Pac brands case it's not all the board's fault, it's a) the rising dollar and b) the private equity group which owned it before, which loaded Pac Brands up with mountains of debt before selling it back to Australian investors for about double what it paid for the company.

  • damn… 6. Only one claim per purchase is accepted.

    • Yeah, means you have to buy in separate transactions if you want a few. But it beats "one claim per household" or "one claim per person" that's for sure.

      • +1

just hit up the self serve checkouts and you'll do it in no time :) I'd use this as an opportunity to get rid of all that loose change lol. Thats what i love about those machines, they take an unlimited amount of coins

They probably saved $10 a pair in production costs when they laid off all their local staff :)

Great deal for the rest of us though.

  • Sweet, so if I purchase say 5 pairs, on 5 seperate transactions, I'll still get my cashback on all of them?

  • Hmmmm got to say great find phildo, very cheap for branded Bonds undies. Price comparable to $3 "Kelvin Classics" that are available from dollar stores that disintegrate while you wear them. Definitely stocking up on these with Christmas round the corner. Now which stores in bankstown stock bonds…….

  • Thanks for this. I have a pair and they are pretty comfortable. Might get a few more

  • How much does each pair roughly cost? $10 back for one seems a lot. I think they stuffed up on the "Only one claim per purchase is accepted" wording. I think they meant per household… time will tell unless there's a Bonds insider around to clarify.

Anyone else bought these before? Does the fruitbasket get over ripe? ;-)

    • $17 at Big W!

    • I think they're spot on. I think it's covering them from any deals which retailers may offer such as 'Two pairs for $25'. Then they'd be screwed.

or you can get some (probably fake) cK ones off ebay - 3 for $12

    • i'm with you tsimop, probably come from the same province/factory.

it may well be a "good deal", but based on bonds blatant disloyalty to its Australian workforce in a "financial crisis" i will never buy bonds merch again, even if they're massively discounted (thanks to cheaper workforce, no doubt) and openly pushing there wares on us with primetime advertising of teens in underwear.

i will wait till all my current stock of undies and wifebeaters are tattered and torn, then i guess davenport might be worth a stab.

i would vote negative based on the company, not the deal.

    • Look for AussieBum or Mojo undies. If Bonds being Aussie-made was a major reason for buying them, there's not much sense in switching to brands that went offshore even sooner or never manufactured locally in the first place.

      • Thanks Jabba, will look into AB/mojo…

  • good find. i wonder if anywhere has any cheaper. $7 for 1 undie isnt that great lol but still a great find!!!

Kmart are offering 25% of mens and womens underwear until sunday. Just saw the ad on tv, looks like a great deal if combined with this.

    • that would be great
turns out to be like 2.75 each if kmart sells them for 17 buks each

      • exactly, i mean kmart usually has comparative prices to bigw, so $2-5 off is likely

        • Not sure if Kmart have these bond 25% off or not as it stated "not apply to every day low price". If it is then $2.75 is a bargain but at $7 I won't touch it!

  • +1

    I'll buy some from Kmart

Rivers undies on special at $0.99 each are the best value IMHO

my undies of choice as of the last few years, so comfy. But after sacking all the aussies to replace with chinese that work for a sack of rice a year is ridiculous. Won't be buying 17 dollar undies anymore!

  • +1

i think your "work for a sack of rice" comment (albeit sarcastic…i hope?!) is more ridiculous than the statement you are trying to make. Borderline racism perhaps? They aren't animals mate.

I have a feeling people are on their high horses on this one… crying foul about some chinese made undies meanwhile having no issues with their chinese-made-everything-else where the price suits them, eg. dealextreme etc.

no doubt what bonds did was sucky, bottom line is in business it's inevitable.

    • -2

Aus worker 15 bucks an hour. Chinese worker, bowl of rice and a dollar a day perhaps?

      how is that racist.

      • A country of people who work for rice is pretty much singlehandedly propping up the australian economy. Not to mention the world.

        How shit are we then?

business is business. It's a hard world to be in. Maybe one day we'll be taking Chinese jobs. Would you still be complaining then because there is no 'loyalty'?

        Whingers

  • Dont know if this helps but Kmart has 25% off underwear atm

  • check the front page of the bigw catalogue, they are offering bonds undies for $13… dont know if they are the same though

  • Is anyone else having trouble with the "download your entry form" button on the site?
doesn't seem to link to anything…or maybe i'm doing something wrong?

    • It works fine for me

    • It's not working for me too.

Edit: just rename the file with ".pdf" at the end. The download file is "TrackedDownloader.ashx". Replace the .ashx with .pdf and it will work fine

  • great deal. thanks a lot.
    i’ve got only one question.
i know i need to send a form and an original receipt, but it is not clear if i have to cut out a barcode from the paper label attached to each pair of underwear and mail it ti BONDS ?
Or a barcode on the receipt is enough ?

Guys if anybody sees another 25% off or more during November please post.
I only managed to buy 2 Shorts @ Medium from kmart @ $15 each.
    I want some more.

    Cheers,

  • I bought 11 from kmart, costing me a total of 0 $ (when i get cash back) hahahah

    Post anymore!!

  • +1

If anyone still reads this, receieved my 110$ checks the other day in the mail, caashed them, and I now have 11 awsome bonds underwear that cost me 0 :D

    • Yep, awesome, same here.

I bought 8 pairs in total ($7.50 each on clearance at Kmart) so they paid me $20 for the privilege of buying underwear.

Happy days, just have to bank the cheques.

      • Nice going - three questions:-

Did you guys buy these on a single receipt or did you get a separate receipt for each pair?

If separate receipts did you send them in to Bonds together in a single envelope or each one as a separate claim in its own envelope?

And did Bonds send back multiple cheques or one cheque for the lot?

By way of explanation, I bought three but played it cautiously and got each on a separate receipt and sent each claim in separately - caution but overkill?! So far I have only received two of the cheques - i.e. 2 @ $10.

  • Rejected because I didn’t include tags! Included my receipt but not the tags. Won’t be buying from Bonds again for this dodgy campaign

    • Bad luck, unfortunately. It was in the T&C:

      1. The purchaser of any underwear from the Bonds Fit range during November 2009 will be entitled to receive $10 cash back by completing the redemption form (sticker on garment or downloaded form from www.bonds.com.au), attaching the original full store receipt for proof of purchase and product barcode and sending it to "Bonds - Fit Underwear Promotion", PO BOX 7070 BLACKTOWN NSW 2148.

I suppose they actually needed physical proof of purchase as a store could easily make multiple receipts for the same product.

    • Agreed with RockDJ, this is your own fault…It was clearly in the T&C lol

  • I wished I had paid more attention to this promo but Im not really keen on this type of boxers anyway…I like mine roomy

  • I bought 3 on 1 receipt and sent it all together. Got the $30 cheque last week :-)
