Bank states Auto-Approval for loan then rejects days later?

Hi all -

TLDR:

I need an OP.

I went to bank.

Bank states Auto Approval for loan.

I book OP.

Days later bank then informs me am no longer able to get loan.

Is there anything I can do about this since the OP has been booked and scheduled for this week?

Should I still be entitled to the loan?

What exactly is Auto-Approval?

Thanks

    You are the OP.

  • TLDR; OP confuses acronym OP

The acronym for operation predates the acronym for original post.

    he might mean OD (overdraft)???

    • I think he means operation as in surgery.

    OP = operation

  • A loan for an operation sounds a lot more risky than other loans. What can they repossess if you cannot repay?

Whats a kidney go for these days?

What happens if he doesn't make it after OP?

  • How much will the loan be for? Maybe you could pay it on a credit card and then get a balance transfer with zero interest.

    • That's the route I have to take by the looks of it.

Auto approval = car loans approved.

Probably cancelled when they found out OP meant operation.

    • Nope it was a personal loan and the reason stated was medical.

  • No chance of get op done via public instead of private? Maybe have a word to your surgeon, they may suggest options you haven't thought of.
