If some guys leeching exercise equipment I think he best get that checked.

  • +1 for the hi-res pics from your mobile phone!

  • How heavy is the bag?

    • +7

My wife won't answer that question.

    • I don't think the bag is included, only the stand. Seems to say it holds a 25kg bag.

      • 25kgs? Sounds far too light, if I can lift it, it is too light.

theres 2 boxes, the one pictured contains the bag, and the other box is longer and has the parts for the stand

what's the difference between using Pushup Grips vs ur wrists/palm??

    • -8

If you are to stupid to learn proper technique it can help. Or you use the ozbargain approved hands that should be on the end of your arms and go wide for pecs and tight for tris.

Comfort, wrists are at 90 degrees when using palms, you can also drop slighter lower than palms alone. You could use your knuckles or perhaps dumbbells.

      • Too bad they dont have half price pink tutu's with those handgrips.

Punching bag is alright, if you dont mind the bottom supporting strap tearing off after a few weeks. It seems to deal with supreme strength bare knuckle combos o.k. though, respect.

        • Yeah, they are in the same league as gloves or belts.

The pushup grips don't get hairy

    • +1

My wrists start to hurt when doing pushups from too many snowboard stacks and long rides on sportsbikes. These are heaps more comfortable for me to use

The push up grips are not the best quality… but hell… for $9, that's AWESOME!

I don't mind the Elliptical cross trainer but would probably end up just buying a recumbent elsewhere for $200.

In regards to the punching bag? Why pay, the wife is free (I'm seriously kidding, I don't even have a wife, I just say things for the punch line).

    • The wife is the reason why i use the punching bag……..

      • Are you sure it's not you. And the frustration of the fact that she wears the pants.

Felt sick when I read your post. Is it OK to make a joke about beating up women if you say your kidding? Not everyone on Ozbargain is a guy, and unfortunately too many women have experienced violence in their life and will never find it funny.

I bought the bench set with 36kg weights last week at Big W for $49. Kept the barbell/weights, don't need the bench (already got one). Bench is still in box disassembled. PM me if you'd like a free bench or scrap metal (but you're better off getting the BigW set if you don't have weights already. Weights aren't (usually) cheap). Parramatta area.

im guessing the weights is that plaster filled rubbish, taking up 3 times the room of a proper metal weight?

36kgs bench isnt really close to half of what you need to make any sort of gains. When it comes to this stuff, best off putting aside $500, and buy a half decent bar ($150 ish) and a pile of weights (roughly $3 per kilo) I like the rubber coated weights with handgrips as it lets you improvise and do other excerises. http://www.gymandfitness.com.au/ for these.

As for a bench, ive got something similar to this, happy with it. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/WEIGHT-BENCH-PRESS-LEG-EXTENSION-…

I know this has nothing to do with the O.P's great find, but from an effective excercise point of view it doesnt cut it.

The guy leech stuff.. if it's anything like the guy leech clothing, don't expect it to last a week. Heck, not even ONE USE.

    • I bought a bunch of it on clearance, just for running. I've used it all half a dozen times now with no dramas. Had it in the industrial washing machines at work as well, with my work clothes, which really cop a beating.

Picked them up on clearance for like $9 for shorts with tights built in etc, so was pretty damn cheap. Good for running anyways, maybe in more contact based things (basketball etc) it would be more of an issue?

      • It was probably the particular item. Falling apart at the seams after one use. I bought three of them. In total, they were all broken within 3 weeks.

  • Click and Collect is only available on orders over $40…
