anyone has shopped with them before?

    • Yep - I've used them before with no probs.

Nice deal OP - cheers :)

  • I hae done and no issues. Although postage can take a while. Just trying to work out why I need 50 of these before the end of the year or soon after. Price is good though about the same as buying 2-3 of them from your local or 1 from DSE

I don't think you get 50 batteries but maybe I am reading it wrong… 5 batteries each pack, 10 packs on offer today.

The way I read it, only 10 people will get to order this and it is $4.95 for postage so basically $1.00 a battery.

Buyer beware. You are better off sticking to brand name batteries (excluding duraleaks - which are really, really awful batteries).

I bought duraleaks from a Harvey Norman web deal, and had about a dozen of 50 leak.. That's about a dozen ruined torches, clocks, etc.
I bought 4 sets of replacement batteries for Panasonic cordless phones from different eBay sellers. About 1/2 of them leaked.
I bought 100 batteries from Dick Smith - 1 of them leaked, which is a pretty good rate of failure.
I had a jeweler put an LR44 (I think) in a genuine Pierre Cardin watch - and they killed it by putting in cheap batteries that leaked.

Be very careful buying cheap batteries.

You use a lot of batteries.

      • Dude, it's Ozbargain, king of Eneloop bargains. I probably own about 100 eneloop batteries alone.

      • Great for landfill

    • I think you need to start using Eneloops…

    • +1

Haven't seen any of my cheap CR2032's leak. LR44 on the other hand, yeah lot's of em.

And for what it's worth… AA and AAA, Turnigy LSD.

So is Duraleak actually Duracell? You didn't mention…

    • Y'know, all basic Alkaline cells will eventually leak. It's just how that chemistry works. They generate gas with use (and over time), which will eventually cause the battery to burst. Whether one brand leaks more than another… I'd say it's probably more luck than anything else, though I suppose the thickness of the outer casing and the amount of reactants inside (and therefore how much useful energy you'll get out of it) can affect it.

      • there are certainly some brands that leak more than others. I never touch duracells based on experience.

Agreed on the Maxell. Decent quality batteries, I usually just buy cards of 10 off eBay every now and then.

    • +1

I bought those maxells before, I'm positive it's fake. The packaging/print quality and "made in Japan" just didn't add up.

      • +13

You may be positive, but the battery is a bit each way.

I have learned my lesson. These batteries have low capacities and 80% of them developed a crytal chemical on the outside after a few months, leaking, and may damaged your equipment. I rather paid for the genuine brand like panasonic, sony etc..

  • In a few months time, the 5-pack of real Maxells, and the 50-pack of Chinese cells will have about the same number of cells still working.

But leaks? I never saw a lithium cell leak.

  • +2

If these leak and you're using them as a CMOS battery it's going to cost you a lot more than the savings you made on a cheap pack of CR2032s to get a new motherboard.

For a calculator or something, it's not a big deal, but I have seen CR2032s leak in motherboards before.

  • TQ OP! Purchased!

  • Sweet, bought some these for a digital food scale that seems to drain the batteries in a couple of weeks unless you make conscious efforts to turn it off straight away. Will be able to keep it on the whole time I'm cooking my epic meals!

    • Yeah, know what you mean. Mine was the same, even it's "sleep mode" was a battery guzzler, but added a hard switch and have lasted years since.

  • Sorry, there are only 0 "50x CR2032 3V Lithium Button Battery" left.

  • sold out

  • Unlucky me… sold out:(

    • +3

      No, you are lucky.

      • You should be right.

  • A lot of batteries to use before the expiry. I paid $1.87 for 10x C2032. Same brand.

  • Another option for cheapies:
    http://www.dx.com/p/2032-x-20-pcs-cell-batteries-751

    but note the reviews.

  • cheapest way for a name brand would be a officeworks price match, just search for cheapest on statice.
