  • I use this headset and I would say these are way too good. Only thing is that you need to install software to use surround sound.

I own 2 pairs of these. They're pretty good, however with both mine they had a problem with connectivity. Occasionally they would disconnect and take 2-30 seconds to reconnect out of the blue. I had all the updates and firmware, but still no dice. It happened infrequently, but often enough for me to recommend against buying them for that reason alone.

If you can get over that, then the audio quality is amazing.

I bought mine 1 year apart (hoping that the second pair would not have the same issues as the first)

My set do the same drop out thing. Great sound though.

  • Similar to tidus4eva, I have had experience with two pairs. The connectivity issues are a real problem as is very poor battery life (particularly now that the battery is quite old). It drops out randomly at least a couple of times in a play session of 2 hours or so, and constantly drops in and out upon connecting the microusb charger cable (stops after 10 minutes or so and then works fine). Sounds quite good for gaming although the artificial surround can be quite iffy (sounds great in some games, weird in others).

If I could buy a new wireless headset, would probs spend a little more for something better.

Maybe try setting in your power options " USB Selective Suspend Settings to Disable ? Enable by default for power saving etc.

Had a pair of these and to date it's been the only logitech product i've really hated… Constant connectivity issues, headset would constantly turn itself off even when it was full charged and even when it was plugged in charging…. It seems like I may be in the minority, but the issues made this headset unusable for me.

Ditched these for a pair of Kingstone HyerX cloud headphones and they have been the best headset I have ever owned by far. The G930 sounded good, but this is on another level entirely and they are sooo amazingly comfortable… I do miss a couple of things coming from the G930 though… The sidetone function that lets you hear your voice clearly when you're talking (although every time the headset would cut out or turn itself off the sidetone volume would reset and i would have to change it again in the logitech software pannel… grrr), the controls on the headset for volume and G keys aswell as the the mic that flips up out of the road and mutes (the hyper x has one that plugs in that's removable, but it doesn't easily flip out of the way or mute)…

Wireless was nice in concept, but for me it turned out the connectivity issues and random turn-off's were beyond frustrating… Check out reviews for the HyperX they are shining reviews and well deserved.

Don't get this I got one as well…… same issue as AlmightyGaz described.

they should recall this or refund this faulty headset

    • … I have been using these for the past 4 years, shredded the padding so I bought $8 replacement on eBay. The virtual surround is second to none in the price range of $100-$200 and the bass is passable for the price as well.

I have heard of people who have connectivity issues, and rarely mine drop off as well, but immediately reconnect afterwards. I suggest replacement from Logitech by calling and asking for an RMA code then getting it back to where you bought it from.

*The deal itself is a + in my books, unfair to neg the deal due to the product. If you got a lemon, get a replacement. Cheapest I ever saw this headset was $92, but with the Aussie dollar at a six year low ($0.759USD), this is a good deal.

Saying that, never used the HyperX. Also looks good. People interested, cheapest I could find: nanobytesolutions .com.au/1-79-KHXH3CLWR/product.html $111.08 (Free delivery)
(No surround sound unless you pay more for the HypereX II)

      • How are you going to get a replacement when you bought it from Amazon…..

        • +3

Amazon give you a reply paid label and you send it back. Their customer service is awesome, even internationally.

  • I also had the occasional connection issues, but plugging the receiver in and out generally brought it back. Eventually I had to refund after 8months or so because something started smoking inside from the battery or something. They haven't been cheaper since so might get another pair because I loved them!

  • Have these as well occasionally have trouble getting connected at first but fine once going. As stated great for gaming. Not so much for music.

  • People might want to refer to past comments about these - I would not recommend them.
