I have a pair of the G35s which look very similar to this and they aren't exactly the most comfortable headset I've ever used.

    • I've had no issues with the G930 personally, however I've never used G35's. Overtime these are quite comfortable to wear, like most headsets I've used though.

    • The G35 and G930 have significantly different headbands, despite the similar look. The G35 headband is rubbery and very flexible, so (from what a friend has told me) it doesn't grip your head that well and can slide around a fair bit as you move your head. He didn't like them.

The G930 headband however is a more rigid flexible plastic, which grips onto your head with decent strength. I've got this set, and it will stay on quite reliably no matter which way you look unless you seriously shake your head around. It's not so tight that it's uncomfortable though. I've happily gone hours in this headset and it feels fine, if a little bit warm initially.

  • Thanks mate, been waiting 6 months for these to drop down to below $70 USD.

  • i bought mine back in june for $96USD because i had tax return funds and couldn't wait.
i was happy to pay that because of how useful the wireless headset is and how often i use them.

if you have been wanting a good wireless headset, you should grab these. Work good on PS4 as well.

i clicked in this post just to find out if it can work with ps4.

just wonder how it compares to Sony's gold headsets.

G930 owner here, these have a very common problem of dropping out for a short period of time every hour or so, if that annoys you.

    • Agreed, perfect for single player gaming but because it's not 100% reliable I have to use wired for multiplayer gaming.

    • Much like the turtle beach px4 (dropout wise)

I know of 3 people (including myself) where the charging usb port has disconnected from the board inside the earpiece making it unusable. in my case for months I had to angle in the connector at a certain angle to charge .. eventually the socket came loos and opening it up I can see the solders all cracked. There are a lot of 'does not charge' forum posts so I suspect it is not diagnosed as much as it occurs. You could fix it yourself if your a soldering ninja like this guy though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUpNEAeHPr4
Audio and fit it was great - if you want a headset to last more then 2 years then I can't recommend them.

thanks, i will wait for a good deal for ps4 gold.

      • I came here to post the same thing. Exactly this happened to mine, logitech support have been completely absent as well. Eventually I'm going to crack them open and re-solder it myself, but its not something I'm looking forward too. Also the sound does drop frequently, so if you are think about any competitive multiplayer that requires constant communication maybe think of something else

    • yep, G930 owner here with the same issue. also, mic seems to unmute spontaneously alot of the time.

Pretty good set of cans in this price range. Got mine from from amazon at the end of 2012 for $89USD. Still going strong. Did have to replace the ear padding with some cheap ones from eBay after a ~1yr, all worked well. Something to think about if your in a hot climate because I think it was the sweat that made the fake leather flakey.

These are only stereo (one physical speaker per ear) but with the software trickey they sound fantastic playing BF4 and every other game I play with, even 5.1 movies.

One thing to mention is some wireless AP/routers may cause interference issues, so it might be smart to browse around online regarding your specific equipment.

  • Good heapdhones but go for the wired version if you don't need wireless, currently using these and they're good except for forgetting to charge them

  • Great headset, had them for about 2 years. Never had drop out issues as mentioned above. Can also have them plugged in and charging while using if you forget to charge.

They aren't exactly light, but not an uncomfortable heavy.

If you've never had surround sound at home before with speakers, these will impress for sure. Work great in games (remember to have the Logitech software running to actually get surround sound in games) and the mic and various voice control options are handy too.

  • So compatible with PC and PS4 but not XBone / XB360? Have I understood that correctly?

    • Be careful with PS4 compatibility. They will work but only in stereo and even with the volume at max they are still very quiet. I bought a pair but ended up selling within a few weeks because of the volume issue.

  • Currently using a G35 should I upgrade?

    • you should…

I have these. I find that it occasionally drops connection. It might be due to the amount of 2.4 GHz interference in my area. It kinda sucks, but putting the receiver a little closer seems to help.

Otherwise I really like them. Sound is good, they're comfortable, and voice chat is very clear.

Also you can pee with them still on your head and gross out your mates!

    • Thanks for the review. Seems I'm good with mine then. I don't like audio dropping out during a heavy gaming session.

  • Had a pair for 3 years, battery lasts 10 hours still. Used every day. Had to replace ear phone pads because my beard scratched it but replacement cost 3 bucks off ebay. Paid 250 for mine. If they still cost 250 I would buy it again in a heart beat.

Tell you what, this thing can take a beating. Compared to the turtle beach i60, Audio technics A900X and sennheiser MX440 I have, by far the best for comfort for long periods of gaming.
Yes it's a bit hot in summer, but all over ear head phones do.
One of the best DTS renditions for movies as well. Just make sure you have the 1500k DTS, not the crappy compressed so called HD at 1GB size.

  • I have these, don't recommend them.

A.) They dropout every now and then, and reconnect
B.) They're extremely heavy on the ear, after 1hr gaming, my ear was battered
C.) Recharge takes a long time for a full charge,

    However I give credit for:

    • Great sound, crisp

How good or bad are these for positional audio?

  • +1

These are great. I've had a pair for over a year. No problem wearing them with glasses.

I've not had the dropout issues mentioned by others. Maybe they have a strong ~2.4GHz source (e.g. microwave) nearby? My receiver is right next to a WiFi router, with no problems.

The weight is not an issue. The cushions (earpads and head) are comfortable, and has the right balance of isolation and softness if adjusted correctly.

The battery life is a good 10 hours; but the recharge time is quite long, so if you're the kind of gamer who goes on 10+ hour binges with few breaks, you should probably go wired.

  • I bought this last year, its one of the deal on OzBargain.

    I REGRET IT!!!!!!

it keep on dropping out which is really annoying.

I can't hear my mates talking while having a team fight.. )(&%^^((*&^

    I want a refund or a fix

  • (profanity) I keep missing this.
