I have posted this as a separate deal as this has not been announced as part of their recent sale.
This is only for the AirAsia Melbourne to Bali route as they now are able to fly direct on that route. Tony Fernandes said a discount sale fare would be announced in conjunction with the reopening of the route. Flights can be had for as low as $120 return (or cheaper using the Jetstar price beat) can be had on Air Asia. This fare has not been announced on their website.
E.g I booked departing MEL 16 May and returning 23 May.
I also found flights departing MEL 4 April returning on 11 April. (I.e. over Easter.)

I was easily able to price beat using Jetstar. I made sure I held the AirAsia flights as a booking without paying, but ensuring my session didn't expire. I then contacted Jetstar who beat the price by 10%. E.g. I booked for two adults and two children return to Bali, excluding luggage for $338 return.

    Its not easy to get a price beat from Jetstar and it takes alot of persistence if they were to approve it.

      I've done it 3 times and it's been extremely easy. As long as you meet the conditions. Plus you avoid the booking fees for paying by credit card.

    I booked 4 return flights, all with luggage each way for $784 total in April.

    Then got so excited I booked another trip in May, $197 return with luggage again. Work is going to hate me.

    I would much prefer to fly with Jetstar.

    I've never been to Bali so this is a first. I also noticed that some of the flights arrive in Melbourne at 11pm.

    Are hotels open at this time to accept a check-in at this time?

      Its Bali.. Im sure there are a lot of hotels waiting for you. Been there once, i really like Sanur and Kuta is soo overrated dont go there unless you like night clubs/party. will try to explore the eastern part of it next time and probably explore lombok island.

        I disagree. If they were shot then and there after trial, it would be understandable but 10 years after the crime, reformed and model prisoners, whats the point? If anything, Schapelle should be taking their place - what has she done in the nine years of imprisonment and her release? Jack all

    Missed on the $120 return but did price match with Jetstar and got 2 return tickets in October for $440.00

    What dates are you guys looking at? Best I've been able to find is $78 to DPS and $131 return. Seems to get more expensive as the year goes on with all the cheap fares being pretty soon.

    I'm very surprised that this deal has only 27 upvotes at the time of writing. I understand there may not be many spots available but it's a ripper deal and if we hadn't just gone in January would have jumped on it.

      This deal is still on. You just need to get the right dates. Generally Friday flights to and from are at this low price from April 7 onwards.

      I needed to book for Easter weekend, so it cost us more than the $76 per person return before taxes and add-ons. But it still was a steal compared to other times.

    I don't get these prices I get $78 each way for 2 which ends up just being under $500 once all the airport tax and luggage is added. Hardly a good deal - or am i missing something? How are people getting 3 people return for the same price?
