  • Looking to buy a pod machine, whilst Nespresso are the nicest, aren't they also the most expensive?
The Aldi ones seem alright to my taste buds and are reasonably priced…

Still, this is a great deal for someone not as budget minded as me, oh wait…

    • Yes, that's correct. They are the most expensive without a doubt. As you said though… they are definitely the nicest as well. I tried the ALDI ones and wasn't impressed. Too bitter and weak for my liking. Went over to Nespresso and never looked back.

      • Yeah I have heard people say Aldi pods are not strong enough. I'm used to crappy instant, so it's plenty strong for me. I'm kinda scared to try Nespresso just in case I like it too much :)

  • wife bought a U last week :-(

    • Oh no, what a bummer. Has she opened the box yet? I wonder if she could take it back and get a refund. A little cheeky, but perhaps worth looking into?

Or, buy the exact same model, and refund the new machine on the old receipt.

        • I like your thinking

  • Thank you for posting this. Bought one last week as a present and I was hoping that this promotion would come back again. Looks like I'll be returning my purchase and ensuring that I buy it again after the 17 March 2015.

  • Can I claim cash back if I buy one from a factory outlet, such as Breville factory outlet?

U Solo for $99 after cashback is the best deal I can find

    • No frother with this one though ;-/

      • Yeah, but as someone who doesn't use the frother… I'd keep the $50 over the Inissia. There is the Aldi $20 one, but I read it's not as good.

      • you could use this milk frother, only $2.99 at Ikea

  • I've tried both Nespresso and Aldi. Ended up buying the Aldi machine. I think the Aldi pods have slightly more coffee so not sure why some would perceive it to be weaker. Overall, I'm very happy with the machine, the selection of pods, and the cost.

    • weaker does not mean less coffee.
stronger also does mot mean more caffeine

      • I visited Nestle over a decade ago, before they launched Nespresso. They showed us the labs where they were developing it. To think that they could spend that many millions of dollars on R&D, and not have a superior product (to say, Aldi, who just ape whatever they want to sell, whilst cutting out as much cost as possible), is a bit of a stretch.

I like my coffee to taste like a cats arse, which is why I drink coffee from BP wild bean cafes.

    I assume.

  • Oh no, bought the Lattissima only 2 weeks ago! Just my luck.

    • See above posts, buy a new one, then return it with the old receipt…
