A new landline from telstra is $299. Auspost sells handsets.

  • Why is a post office selling TVs, tablets, and kids toys?

    • Cos they make stuff all profit from stamps

To compliment the Sewing Machines of course

    • To keep busy waiting for letters.

time to stock up Boost ^_^

    • Do you just change numbers every month or is it a recharge?

      • yes, just port out on anither provider on second month with their half price starter packs :), that's way you can keep your number and enjoy $15 or less per month (Amaysim has $10 unlimited first month atm) :)

        • So you port to a new provider every 30 days? Boost to Amaysim then back to boost?
Do you port before the 30 days is up or on the 30th day?

        • @dan76n: it depends, if the 30th day falls onto weekends, you'd better have it done prior that day (porting available on week days), and yes, every month I do this with one of my numbers for around 2 years now, cost just 300ish :)

        • Remember porting numbers can go horribly wrong. Not worth the risk of being without your phone for potentially days just to save a few bucks. Just my opinion.

        • @PainToad: port during week days never have a problem to me, and the porting process takes just minutes to hours (from Vodafone to Optus takes only 2-5')

        • @webtherapist:
Yes, most of the time porting is simple and quick. BUT remember porting is manual process completed by people. People are human and mistakes do occur.

        • webtherapist, I've been waiting to try this for a while, but Boost stater kit's haven't been on special for a while (I have been on Boost -> Amaysim & now hopefully back to Boost). Do you buy a couple of starter kits whenever they are on special so that you can flip back & forth each month, without having to pay full price because there aren't any specials on at that moment?

@BlueMM: yes I did, but better check expiry date too to well estimate, I have full ranged of sim packs from Voda to Optus to Telstra and etc, depends on where I travel to I will port the number to that provider has strongest signal :), I Gold Coast I love Vodafone 4G, in rural areas, I love Boost/Telstra, in some places Optus shows its strength ^_^

        • @webtherapist:
What's the best expiry date you can usually get? Might get a few as I'm planning to just go on the new 20 per month boost but if I know I'm going to use the phone heaps I can just do a port to Amaysim and back.

        • @dan76n: normally I grab the ones that have at least 1.5-2 years of expiry, but, 1 year would be fair enough, just make sure you do not over stock ^_^

    • Is the boost just for new sims or is it for recharge to?

    • I was thinking the same thing.

Anyone know when the catalogue starts and ends? I'm having trouble zooming in on the catalogue on the phone.

You can buy landlines from Auspost lol …

  • Lets say cable cost 10 cents a metre that about 2.99km run. Then you have string it from tree to tree back to exchange
    Bingo telstra line $299 :)

  • That Fujifix s4800 is a bargain.

  • The camera is a steal for that price. It's a seriously good camera for someone who doesn't want/need a dslr. Hubby paid a lot more than that for it a couple of years ago.

  • There are some good prices on a variety of unlocked mobiles in this catalogue. The Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus is about as cheap as it (currently) gets at $99. Very affordable Samsung quality. I just roamed this phone (bought from Coles three months ago at the same price) in the USA on T-Mobile for a month and while it is only 3G, performance all round was just excellent. Highly recommended .. :-) .. !!

    • Looks like the unlocked version is $169 and locked to Telstra is $99? Hanging out for another deal like the Coles one.. If anyone sees one at this price please let me know!

  • Picked up a Telstra 13150 DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone & Answering Machine yesterday after work. Not available or sold out at a few Auspost in Perth. Managed to pick up a red one at the Auspost on Hay Street (WA). It's a nice little phone and looks great!

Harvey Norman is selling them for $48 and The Good Guys is selling for $49, so $24.50 is a good price.

  • Whoooohoooo, got a 22$ Telstra 12250 Deswct single in an office in Parramatta. Last one. Selling it for 20$ after I make 1 call :|. Internet requires me to insert my previous number, I cannot get it unless I call a number… I bought a phone to make 1 call :|. There were no better offers on gumtree :(.
