I have checked out a few of the flights, and it seems that the absolute cheapest have the outbound with LAN and the return with Qantas. If you are happy to pay ~$50 extra then both directions are with Qantas.

We have added price charts to our international pages. What do you think? If you see anything on our site that you think could be better, please let us know. We update the site all the time and feedback from you is the fastest way to know if we are going in the right direction (or not!).

Some important stuff
Prices shown here include CC/booking fees. Prices are good until sold out.

Does anyone know how to get to Easter Island on the cheap?

      Kon Tiki tour :-)

LAN has a monopoly on the Santiago to Easter Island route so your chances of getting there cheaply are slim to none. Expect to pay $400+.

Any idea how much they'd be from Perth?

  • Pay extra $50 for qantas flight?
My understanding is that qantas flight is operated by LAN!

    • LAN will be flying 787 dreamliners on this route from mid April, so while the Qantas service and food will be better than LAN's, I'd still recommend LAN.

      • Having flown this route with both LAN and Qantas, I would go with LAN again anytime once the brand new 787s come on.

        • Was the LAN in flight service better than Qantas?

          @Wally:

I fly with LAN a couple of times a month minimum and don't have any complaints regarding their in-flight service. The food is better on Qantas and the staff friendlier, but the dreamliner is the most comfortable plane I've ever flown on.

  • What dates did you use for Melbourne in May?

    I'm getting 1434.

Also,.any good connections onto Brasilia? Say, Sao Paulo.

    Thanks.

  • Great deal! Don't forget that's Australians have to pay a reciprocity fee of about $100 when entering Chile and Argentina, and you'll have to get a visa if you're going to Brazil.

    • What about AMEX?

  • Good prices, but factor in Syd or Akl ON accommodation for most flights ex Melbourne.

    Santiago May 5 -18 degrees.

  • Great prices and great site!

  • great work !!

  • great work

  • how much would it cost to get to Colombia?

$1362 is a very good price from Melbourne, don't understand though why prices are crazy expensive to go to Lima

  • Doesn't seem to extend to December and January. :(

A word of warning folks. A friend booked this on qf.com and it gave her a 1 hour domestic to intl connection in SYD. Having done this connection twice I would NEVER risk a 60 minute connection to change terminals. You will literally be running from gate to gate. It can take 25 minutes just to get through security, not to mention the terminal transfer, a lot of walking and they will close your intl gate at least 10 minutes before departure. I would book at least a 90min connection, if not a 120 min.

  • or around 100k QFF points + Taxes

A couple of credit card offers going atm that award 50k points (ANZ, Bankwest). Even if you include the annual fee you might be able to save a couple of hundred ;-)
