        yep, but you can search for review of Solo2, it is much better and huge improvement over the first gen
        i own many more expensive cans such hifiman he500, sennheiser hd800,etc and still found the solo 2 has very good sound quality, also superb build quality

      lol why neg? you can do some research before justify the Solo2
      i have been in this hobby for more than 5 years, owned almost every top of the line headphones from hifiman, sennheiser, lcd,ath (except Stax series) and still find solo 2 has very good p/p.
      The first gen Beats is totally trash, not even worth mentioning as a proper headphones set, but Solo2 is another story guys.

        i dont deny that the first gen Beats is trash, but the newer 2nd gen which was released after Apple bought Beats is another story mate.
        I was in anti beats camp before, but after tried and owned the Solo 2 i totally changed my mind.

    I went for the Powerbeats 2 - obviously had mixed reviews on Beats previously but as I understand from the reviews - the new ones are a fair bit better. Most reviews rate this set highly except for price, so far $160 delivered it seemed worth a go. Bit concerned that DS have no returns policy - have I taken too big a gamble?

        Several reviews on the Level Overs that I read seemed to suggest that they're good headphones but reviewers have been questioning the value of the headphones compared to other options on the market. If priced at $250.00 I'm sure the reviews would be a lot more favourable? At $250 I'd probably have snagged a pair if I didn't get my M4U-2s.

        Based on many of the reviews I saw they showed benefits and disadvantages of the Levels. Many of the need I had seems to be met by the Samsung Level, plus I like the look so I gave it a go. similar to Yoz comments, at $250 compared to the $400+ retail price you have a different expectation set.

        I find some of my favorite headphones in the past had mixed rating, so I tend to believe there really isnt one perfect headphone for everyone. To each there own.

      I use a Sony Ericsson MW-600 clipped on to the back of my shirt… with that the headphones plug in, so you can change headphones as you please… the headphones only seem to last me 3-6 months so with that I just replace the headphone part each time rather than paying for an entire new set of bluetooth headphones. That's a pretty old model, given the Ericsson part of the name, so don't know what the current offerings are.

        I'm only mentioning it because I bought them for $174 the other day, and I was annoyed that they would be way cheaper today - but it turns out they're only a little bit cheaper. I wouldn't pay $300 for them, they're comfortably and work well, but they actually feel a little flimsy for decent headphones.

          It's not about the headphones - it's about the prices, since you took issue with Dick 'adjusting' prices to make the discounts seem bigger.

          My point is that they could be within their rights to advertise them as being "down from $335". $335 is actually the legitimate 'from' price since it's the manufacturer's RRP and Dick's direct competition is selling them at this price.

          It's ironic that even though Dick has regular deals giving people like yourself an opportunity to get popular products at close to half price, the same people take issue with Dick rather than the tight asses at JB.
