Buy-1 Get-1 FREE Bacon Deluxe Value Meal @ Hungry Jacks (Tuesdays) Save $9

913

Share it with a friend or scoff it down yourself, it's a great offer from HJs as this is for the whole meal, not just a burger. Says nothing about size, so I'm guessing the BOGOF applies across small, medium & large meals. Starts tomorrow (Tuesdays only). Enjoy :)

Holy shit, you mean this is unhealthy?
Damn, I've been eating burgers to lose weight.

  • Isn't that the normal Two for Twosday deal that's been around for a while (before that was the chicken crunch)
    Or is this different?

    • I don't recall seeing a BOGOF meal before. Burgers on their own yes (I may be wrong).

  • Anyone know the standard price for a Large?

  • If in NSW & ACT, don't forget about the current Hungry Jacks coupon sheet expiring 14th April (see https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/184510).

    It has:
    - Two bacon deluxe (burgers only) for $8.35.
    - Bacon deluxe boost meal (2 burgers + small fries + small drink) for $10.95.

    • I have been getting the 2 Whoopers for 7.35 + a frozen coke for lunch quite often. Don't even need a voucher

      • whooper de doo!

Clicking on the picture on the facebook site and then clicking to the next picture across shows a BOGOF Bacon Deluxe burger only deal!

    https://www.facebook.com/HungryJacks/photos/a.106987823377.1…

    Edit:
Normal prices at my local HJ's:
    - Bacon deluxe (burger only) $6.20
    - Bacon deluxe meal (small) $8.95
    - + 70c for medium meal or +$1.40 for large meal.

In other words it is the best deal on Tuesdays, beating the coupon sheet mentioned in my post above.

  • The one thing I hate about this offer is… if I buy one and offer a poor person one, they are 90% likely to look at me like I've grown two horns.

    • Yeah, unless they're sitting directly outside a HJ's store and see you coming out there's no way I would accept food from a stranger.

      • Even then…

They look like I'm about to rape them or something.

Maybe my local is just generous, but I'm almost certain, they've allowed BOGOF on the meals on any of their Tuesday promos. I remember I had it with the whopper Jr. And I remember having this bacon deluxe last month. :)

I dont think they are worth normal price but 2 for the price of 1 I can live with

Waiting for McDonalds to bring back $1 cheeseburgers to fill up the freezer (for midnight muchies while scanning ozbargain for even more money savings)

1 x Bacon Deluxe burger without chips or drink has 17.7g of saturated fat, or 89% of your recommended daily intake.

    Nasty stuff.

I actually might get the bro and give them a go. Haven't had one since my Uni days. Every once in a while is ok. Greasy HJs for lunch, rabbit food for dinner. ;-)

    • Fat content isn't the issue, the carb & sugar content is.

  • tried getting this today. At hallam and narre warren, both said they didn't participate in such things. what a load of crap!

    • I suggest you contact Hungry Jacks on facebook - they're advertising it there. https://www.facebook.com/HungryJacks?fref=ts

      • +1

        I can't really do that, I don't have facebook…

        • Depends if you want to persist in the matter..

You could always contact the head office: http://www.hungryjacks.com.au/contact-us

It's finally #TGIT woohoo! At Hungry Jack's ALL DAY buy 1 Bacon Deluxe Value Meal and get 1 FREE!

        • i called them, the guy said as far as he knows this is for "every store". He didnt seem to be 100% sure though and said he will get the district manager to call me.

    • tried getting this today. At hallam and narre warren, both said they didn't participate in such things. what a load of crap!

Sorry, posted my response in the wrong area. See here.

      • haha just saw that. Thank you!
i called them as well as i said above and i will most defiantly complain when the manager calls me back! this isn't the first time my local hj's have done this and its plain annoying!

        • +1

I even just called the Hallam store. The store manager said it's not a national deal. Had a bit of an argument with her telling her she needs to get her ducks in a row coz her national office suggests different. She asked me what I meant by the comment. At the end, we both agreed to disagree, and I told her she'll be contacted by her district manager. She simply said 'fine'.

        • they told me they don't do it because they are a franchise and don't participate in it or any such offers.

I just called Hungry Jack's Head Office (1300 852 326) for you. Told a gentleman what happened, and he said it's news to him, as this is definitely a national offer. Said he would be escalating via his district manager for resolution with the stores.

Can I suggest you also call and file a complaint. Tell him you wasted your time driving between stores, and he may even compensate you with a voucher.

    Good luck :)

    • Same at Springvale! My family and I tried to get the deal and they refused to honour it even after showing them the HJs facebook page. Manager said they don't do these because they are not a franchise store. Told him he could go jump in a lake and we left without buying anything.

      • As above, follow up with national office.

      • Really? thats funny, The hallam store says they don't do it because THEY ARE a franchise store lol

seems like they will say anything to get out of it..

        • You're not gonna believe this. I asked the manager which are the franchise stores and he said he knows that the Hallam one is. Was not gonna drive out to Hallam to be rejected again.

  • There are a few people saying that their local hasn't been honouring it. Hungry Jack's Facebook is replying saying they'll look into it, and are asking people to fill out this form: http://www.hungryjacks.com.au/contact-us/feedback

Might be easier than contacting them by phone. ;)

Sorry to hear this <insert name>! Can we please grab some more info here http://bit.ly/1l5VpW0 so that we can look into this?

    • Thanks rompastompa. Great find!

  • For those who finally get a call from the manager, make sure you go down there, make your purchase and then gloat about it (make sure you have your food first). I just want to be able to see the looks on their faces that you were right and they were wrong.

    • If I were you, I would make sure you keep a clear line of sight between you and the person making your burger if you intend to go that far.

  • Hah, my mate just got this from my local. They said they didn't know anything about it. He showed them the facebook advert. They said they'd be making a loss on it and didn't know how to put it through on the system. He said it wasn't his problem, and the ended up doing it without too much fuss.

He bought the bogof meal, large something meal, two peri-peri cheeseburgers. They ripped us off the large chips (got the large drink though)! Not unusual that they'd forget something, our local always stuffs up the order.

  • See how I go out at Karingal in a few minutes!
Ps. This is a good read to have just before purchasing!!! Why nobody should buy Hungry Jacks Twosdays deal ever

Edit: Hey guys, has anyone checked out their FB page in the last few hours? https://www.facebook.com/HungryJacks
The pic has been edited to say 'not available in Vic or NSW', then the next pic says 'only available in NSW'. FFS!!!

    • wow a lot of people must of complained for them to do that.. but i must say what a bullsh!t way to treat their customers ..

If this is not false advertising i have no idea what is!?

      • +1

I've just left a post on their FB page saying how unprofessional I feel they've acted… and am taking my money to Subway! (thanks to TA for that other insight!)

        • +1

To be honest, I,m actually considering calling the ACCC about this. you cant advertise something then take it back on the day, If something is advertised then you have to honor it. Their facebook page clearly didn't state that this was a NSW only promotion until just a few hours ago.

I bet they do this just to get people into their stores, then hope that they wont leave after they are told it wont be honored.

        • @Melbournebargain:
          What a scam

  • Just the burger by itself here in WA, but ah well still got it ($6.50 for those playing at home)

Stupid the difference in their Facebook posts
Value Meal in NSW, burger everywhere else (except Vic)
