RRP is $599 on the Kogan website, but it's always been $499 when I've seen it ($496 now)

I can't speak for the quality, but the price is decent.

I would recommend going for one of the Fujitsu, Panasonic or Samsung ones.

Firstly you wouldn't want to deal with Kogan warranty. Secondly you might end up spending more when it breaks and you need to get somebody to remove it and install a new one which is around $300 installation. If ya get a larger brand they will fix it and no issues at all with extra costs.

For long term investments I wouldn't go a home brand like Kogan. Lol

My mother has this one http://appliancecentral.com.au/shop/index.php?route=product/…
It's a mitsubishi electric. Been as silent as the first day it was installed 3+ years ago.
It has this a silent mode, and it is mindblowing how silent it is…

The sort of silence that I didn't know was possible in airconditioners. The cold air kind of just pours out without any noise, you have to put your hand near it to know it is on.

I got stuck with a samsung though, which are cheap and shit. It's loud and drips all over the place. And samsung won't fix it. The warranty guys have been out 5 times so far, and not once have they fixed it. When I tell them it's a lemon and they should replace the whole thing they say "oh samsung never does that."

le sigh. so yeh, +1 for mitsubishi electric, -1 for samsung.

      • I remember with samsung they had a 3 strike rule. If the same problem happens 3 times they would replace the product. Similar thing happened to my washing machine.

You could always speak to them and threaten to go to fair trading and consumer affairs.

        • Is there any time limit for this?

I have had samsung come fix my tv 2 times now, Got it 2 years later purple lines replaced the screen in my home, 2 years later, Purple Lines, Came and fixed it again, Im pretty sure its getting close now maybe another 12months.. So they will just replace it with a newer model?!

    • Totally agree , kogan vacuum cleaner lasted only 13 months, just out of warranty , and now I'm using DYSON , which is way much worth it ….

  • Energy star rating is quite poor. It's 3.5/3.5 for C/H.

  • The savings go to electricity cost later on.

  • Kogan 2.45kw Reverse Cycle Split System Induction Air Conditioner.

Does it double as one of those new-generation cooktops? :P

    • Oops, corrected. Thanks!

  • Once bought a vacumm cleaner from kogan ended up disappointed as delivery time was up to them and if you missed it (most probably you would ) , then you would have to arrange for another day , which means you need to find another day and Wait from 8- 5 pm just for your item delivered . I ended up going to the courier depot to pick it up which was 30 Kms away. All this happened because kogan did not use Australia post which has more options for customers . No more Kogan In my shopping list .
