How much is the first one?

    • -1

      $10.95 at least in QLD
Three choices: beef, lamb and pulled pork

I tried the lamb one last week and it was OK/good (not amazing though)

        No chicken burritos? :(

        • Not in the new 'gourmet' range they are spruiking. Only in the standard range.

      • No chicken = Salsa's can lick my butt whole.

        • Why do they need to go that far?
Can't they just do it half arsed?

  • +5

yeah i'm not real impressed. Visited two times now and it's quite an expensive burrito considering it's more than half filled with rice.

    • -1

I agree with you, but you can always ask for no rice.

What will they use to fill up the void, more beans? Would be pleasantly surprised if they give more beef/lamb to fill it

    • +1

yes it shd be rice flavor burrito as that's all I can taste ;)
as usual avg service 'no u cannot use ur pesos with this offer', 'no we are too busy to give u two bags' lol

    • Same. I've tried the pork and beef, with the beef being the worst - no flavour at all. Never going back now!

Went to hunt for Salsa in Melb CBD.

    Aust on Collins. Closed
    Melb Central. Closed

Stuff it. Don Dons it is.

You didnt miss much. Had a buritto at the Melbourne Central shop and it was awful. Bland and average.

    • The melb central one is downstairs near the station. But as has been said maybe it was just that franchise but pretty avg, guzman is twice as good in my experience, and yeah don dons was a better choice

      • Salsa used to be in that lane way with the Harajuku crepes leading out to the State Library. It's boarded up and with new shop coming or something.

  • I picked a couple up, but I still think that their 'normal' burritos are so much nicer.

I think Salsa's is the better Mexican franchise in Australia. Guzman y Gomez burritos were pretty tasteless and Max Mex burritos always have about an inch of unfilled burrito.

    • I went to Mad Mex in Garden City, Brisbane recently .. the burrito was even bigger than GYG. Free sour cream too.
Last time I went to GYG was during the $5 burrito event

  • the basic chicken one is good, just had 2, these are cr@p!

    • If their beef cut had to be cooked for 14 hours, you gotta ask if it was the hoof cut.
