    Woohoo, free app!

    Clicks link to Amazon page

    Dang, I already own it.

  • Anyone know a good reverse comparability app. Ie control phone from computer including texting etc.

    • If you have a Samsung phone, I think SideSync does what you want to do as well.

      • IF you can get it to work that is. Never connected to either my Note 3 or Edge and on both Samsung and Non-Samsung Laptops.

        • I've seen it work relatively fluently between a Samsung tablet and a Samsung phone, so I was assuming that it would work as well with desktops since that's what they say it does.

        • @AznMitch:
Funny enough - I even went to Samsung Store and asked them to help me with it - they came up with blank faces about how it is done. Gave it about 4 goes with different combinations and given up. Mobizen as I said before actually works and does not require rooting (unlike Airdroid).

      • Seconded. AirDroid is an excellent app.

      • Airdroid requires the device to be rooted before you can remote control the screen and keyboard. Otherwise you are left with a web based desktop with limited functions. Mobizen will give you remote control access even without root. I was converted from Airdroid to Mobizen.. hehe

  • whats the diff between this and the HD version? They both seem free atm

  • Does this still require a subscription on the PC side in order to remotely control the PC at home when you're out of the house?

    • You're talking about splashtop 2 personal. This is the older and supposedly "slower" app that using your Gmail logins to find the PC.

    • As said above that's splashtop 2.
Required a subscription to view over internet, over local network is free. One subscription works for unlimited desktops and viewing devices, isn't bad prices either.

Still, if the older "slower" (debatable) version is free, why pay ~$16.99/year?

      (Can't remember exact prices..)

  • The third option is one android controlling and viewing what is on another android device connected on say the same wi-fi network.

I've been looking for such an app but have not been able to find anything that works. Can someone recommend something?

    thx!

    • Screencast?
Not sure exactly and what you're looking for - do you mean an android controlling another android device? I'm not sure on the equipment you'd need for that. I know screencast allows certain equipment to view and control certain android equipment though.

  • Already own it on Googleplay.. Bought it a while back. Great app.

Aw well, now I own it on Amazon too. Still a score!
