Wasn't that the Fitbit Charge (without the Heart Rate Monitor)?
HR listing was removed for sale. Should be aiming ~$150 for HR black
the $130 was the regular Charge (Non-HR) but I got mine for $151 from the tech20 eBay coupon last time.
Plum Charge HR was indeed $127 last time.
of course your phone can do it, but imagine running with a Samsung note or iPhone 6 plus lol. Also the uncomfortable strap around your chest. with this one the hr is all in one and around your wrist, no need for uncomfortable strap on chest.
Also imagine sleeping with your phone strapped to your wrist for sleep tracking lol.
Fair enough but wrists are a lot more accurate
Of course, just think that they're more than a bit overpriced for what they are.
Its not really overpriced when you think about all the development that goes into it, not just hardware but remember the software too.
Making things smaller and smaller costs alot of money too, trying to fit a HR / Altimeter / Accelerometer / Battery / BT Module into such a small package.Remember back when laptops were huge and bulky, the first few ultrabooks would have been classified as "overpriced" because people compared the stats then they realized that smaller = more expensive. lol.
It is just another gadget which is built for a specific purpose, so it isn't really overpriced.
A few reviews indicate the HRM, premium V3 is more accurate than these.
In addition so is the GPS, when comparing to the 620 but remembering is it more dearer
could argue that the phones that do this are more overpriced than an older phone plus fitbit hr :p
