Best headphone of 2011 by Trusted review
Head-fi page for PFE012

I've came across this deal while surfing on one of the Korean bargain website I visit.

I cannot talk too much on these cans since they actually got discontinued before I got into headphones.
I've been hearing a lot of praises, so I thought I might share this deal with you guys.

Cheaper model of PFE112 and PFE122, PFE012 and PFE022 uses same drivers as the PFE112 and 122.
The only differences between PFE112, PFE122 and PFE012 and PFE022 are the filters (which are replacable) that makes these sound more bassy and the amount of accessories that come with it.

Wow. I never thought I will be able to find a deal for Phonak IEMs. Now to decide whether to buy an another IEM… (Already have a pretty decent one from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/167485)

Some graphs for the PFE112: http://en.goldenears.net/index.php?mid=GR_Earphones&document…

Edit 1: Would you mind sharing the "Korean bargain website" that you were referring to? :D

Edit 2: I did some research and I found that these aren't all that great without the grey/black filters :(

    • I'm pretty sure the Korean bargain webite is: http://www.ppomppu.co.kr/zboard/zboard.php?id=ppomppu4

    • Yeah, I am almost getting the feeling that these guys have a hidden factory in China or something.
Hasn't Phonak left the earphone/headphone industry like 5+ years ago (I am not sure when it was, I only know that it's from a long long time ago)?

I found that Earphone Solutions have black and gray filters in sale as well.
If those are too expensive, I think I remember reading about people getting the filters from Ali and Taobao few years ago, try them?

      • Hahaha, I found them at Earphone Solutions as well but the tool used to swap out the filters only come with the green ones :(

  • Looks like you can buy multiple units and have discount applied on each one. Good if you want to share the cost with mates.

  • these are great iem but i have actually tested the 0xx series with grey filter and they still sound different compared with 1xx series, thus they should have different driver

    • I didn't know that. Most of the webpages and reviews that I came across were indicating that the driver have no difference whatsoever and the filter is the one that changes the sound.

  • I bought the pf112 model a few years ago and have been using them everyday since. The best earphones I've ever had.

  • Has expired i believe - showing up as $99 for me.

    • Have you typed the code in, in the cart?

  • Yeah, defiantly expired. These buds are mad, shame I missed them.

    • This deal has a code you have to type in (AU50). It's still showing up has active on my cart.

      • I attempted to use the code in Paypal checkout. Hence my issue. Appear fine under their standard.

        • The code is for the website, so click on the "my cart", under shipping details you can see "Offer Code?". Click on that and you can enter the code.
