  Has anyone ever seen a Udemy course that was worth doing? Admittedly I've only seen the ones they give away, but they've all been unmitigated garbage, which makes me think the others are all also rubbish, if these are the ones they're using to hook people.

    And do people actually pay money for them or just wait till they're free? I couldn't imagine spending $500 on udemy course when I could use that money to pay for a qualification in Australia that is actually worth something.

      Yeah, when there's really high-quality stuff out there like Lynda.com, how Udemy still exists is a bit of a mystery given how poorly they produce their content.

    I'm doing some of the web programming courses that I've either got for free or only paid a few bucks for. So far I'm pretty happy. I'm sure there are many courses that aren't worth doing and that's why we need to leave feedback about what prospective students can realistically expect and how courses could be improved. Without that we have nothing to go by other than the instructor's sales pitch.
