PLEASE NOT THAT THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THE INITIAL DEPARTURE TO TOKYO FROM SYDNEY - Will just need a jetstar 1 way to Tokyo, should be under $1300 all up.

Thought this was a pretty decent deal back to Europe in Sept, with a nice little stop over in tokyo. (you may be able to find cheaper back to europe with someone like Air India, but this is good if you want to combine a trip to Tokyo with Ethiad!) - economy baggage is 30kg.

I booked leaving tokyo NRT on 7th sept, coming back from Paris CDG to SYD on 17th Sept.

Not sure on availability remaining, i had to play with dates a little too. P.S It is annoyingly in Yen if you have your 1st departure as Tokyo and couldn't change that!

goodluck

      fixed, cheers.

Don't want anyone to fly with Ethiad by accident do we!

Hardly a bargain, it's just down to combining two return components of an airfare to create an reverse open jaw itinerary.
Can be booked through any OTA (if JP fares allow that).

I'd avoid booking through Etihad website as they apply service fees for changing/cancelling ON TOP of the fare penalties.

As I have not seen before approx $1300 return from Sydney to Europe INCLUDING a stop in Tokyo, I considered it a bargain and wanted to share. This estimation (as still a leg is yet to be booked) is based on the standard Jetstar price too, with their sales it may even get below $1300.

If you have found cheaper for September then please let us know?

Paying 1300 for a return in economy is a a waste of money. If you or others see it as a bargain, by all means.

you're right, it would be better in 1st class.

What would consider to be a bargain for Sydney to Tokyo to Paris and back to Sydney?

Norwegian airlines doing a decent deal from BKK to Oslo $499 return in November, tie this with return flights from Aus for as low as $400 and that's a return to Europe for $900.

    • Good price! Especially if you want to go to Oslo, and actually I'd love to. Not this trip though, it was time to tick Tokyo off the list, and need to go back in Sept.

I'm sure Air NZ will have some great sales around sept/oct too, especially going the other way round through the states.

    • Just a warning. Northern Europe proper is pretty miserably cold from November onwards if you're planning a Eurotrip. I literally have no suitable clothing and the jacket, scarf, thermals, and towel will fill out a carry on only quickly. Perfect time for those that like it cold and great price though.

There's lots of great specials like this. I recently bought Singapore - London, Oslo - Sydney on Etihad for $750 return in June.

Play around with different cities in Europe, but i found London, Paris, Oslo, Munich and Amsterdam worked best

    • Nice. I've actually just seen a new advert for Tokyo to Paris sepcials with Etihad, so that must be the real deal out of this trip. Sub $500

Thankyou! Just booked the same trip for $669 in late October. Can not wait :)
