Just came across this at deal-extreme. People are unsure whether it is a copy or not, but make your own decision after reading the info on the site. Bargain if its real and works properly!

    They are fake ones and I heared these can't be used with ps3 firmware 3.0 and above. Is this true?

    If they do however work then it is a good deal.

    Its arguable whether its fake or not, plus its not a deal as such, its just the normal price… Plus DX takes 1 month to arrive.

        Good point, for that reason alone I'll give +1. It's cheap for a generic controller, I've never found a 3rd party that was as good as an original anyway. As long as people aren't expecting genuine performance from it, $30 for a third party PS3 controller delivered is not bad at all.

          yeah $30 isn't bad I guess but I'd be inclined to pay the $20 more for the official ones they had.

          I guess its a good deal for those that missed out on the $20 back when buying $50 in items using PayPal last month, effectively making the officials about $35 - $40 each.

    this product seems to be the real one .. has the Sony logos all over the controller and the box .. and the comments seem to be legit as well. not sure how the price compares back to Australian prices though ..

    Overall .. not sure if this is the right place to do it or not .. but has anyone used DealExtreme before to order items? A number of items on their website seem cheap and with the Aussie dollar the way it is at the moment .. the prices are pretty much $ for $. I notice some people said it takes up to a month to arrive .. which is kinda weird coz their website says the products come from HK and should be delivered within 2 weeks max.

      DealExtreme is a very popular site and has a high reputation amongst users (check threads on Whirlpool.net.au for detailed info).

      I've ordered several times, will be ordering soon too. Items usually take about 2 weeks for me. Never had anything that took as long as a month.

      They're great for things like batteries, so much cheaper than anywhere else.

      I have ordered sku.12678 on the 22nd of October but the item is "temporarily out of stock" according to DX staff. I dont expect it anytime soon but i must say that DX is pretty reliable as long as you dont mind waiting.

      The quickest I have ever received an order was approximately 2 weeks.
      The longest was almost two months for an item which "ships in 2 to 5 business days".

      Advertised delivery times and response times are misleading to say the least.

      I've actually ordered the "genuine" wii and ps3 controllers end of last month…
      still waiting on delivery LOL!

      at least my 16gb SDHC is shipped and ipod nano cover I just got today ($1.50)

      If they have it, they'll ship it. But if the item is popular, some items may show as in stock but really they "order from supplier".

      I'll see if I'll actually see my controllers!

      Also, the paypal deals kinda killed their stock too…

    as long as you get registered postage (either add it on or order >$15 of items) mine has arrived within a week of it being sent from DX.

    These are fake bought one of ebay ages ago for 50bux it f@#$%^d up after a month (when i turned it on, it registered as controller 1+2+3) stay away from this crap trust me big waste of money unless u do what i did and get a credit note from anywhere else

    i ended up fixing it tho (my bro wanted an extra controller went 2 k-mart bought one, then took it back the next day and said it didn't work ;)

      Anyway, how do you know these are the same ones that you got on EBay? Even if these are fake too are you sure its the same one?

    guys, you might wanna becareful about buying from this site, i ordered two things from this site so far and shopping from them isnt very pleasant.
    first off, i emailed them about a "genuine" playstation eye advertised, asking them if they could define their term "geniune" and whether this product is an official sony product from the images displayed. After debating with myself whether i should take the risk for a bargain, i finally got a response from them saying that it is an imitation playstation eye. i didn't think it would be a fake product as the webcam is advertised as almost the full cost as the real ones you'd find in the stores locally.

    im still awaiting to see what it is like.

    i had also put in an order for a "geniune" white sony playstation controller. after learning that the "geniune" playstation eye is a fake, i immediately asked them whether the white controller i ordered is a fake too. i am yet to hear a response as they seem to be dodging my question. also they have informed me that their suppliers are out of the stock. it makes me wonder why do they still advertise they can ship it out when they are out of supplies.

    i guess you can take the risk if you have the patience and money. do note: they say that email responses can take about 24 to 48 hours to respond. so far the fastest response i have recieved is 4 days and they havent really answered my questions. longest response is 3 weeks!!!

      Well to contrast (and not to take anything away from youre experience) I've ordered from them maybe two or three times. The PS3 controllers arrived in around two weeks and another item I bought which was out of stock at the time of purchase (and I went in knowing this) took 3 or 4 weeks.

      Never had to email them so I can't comment on that but they seemed ok. I'd be a bit weary as yes, some of their console gear does seem like imitation devices but I'd still shop there for certain things.

        I ask this because I heard the new firmware on the ps3 causes the imitation controllers to stop working. esp the "supposely" genuine white controllers. Just wonderin if anyone had the any problems with them
