Industrial? Heavy? It doesn't even have pneumatic tyres.

    • +1

That right, the wheels have steel rims and industrial bearings too!

90 Kg capacity is not heavy duty.

      • Hi Snoovey, we defined Heavy Duty based on the class that this trolley falls into, if you compare it with the other options that are in the 90kg capacity class you will notice that this is the top of the ladder therefore we consider this Heavy Duty.

I agree with you totally, compared to other "fixed" hand trucks it would not be considered Heavy Duty, however in its class we stand by the description.

Thanks for taking the time to write in.

      • at bunnings the capacities start from ~30 kgs, so this is pretty decent.

Good timing, might get one for Mother's Day…

Getting Mummy JV a new washing machine?

      • +16

No, it's to wheel mum into a retirement village. Because walking frames are more expensive than trolleys and JV is an ozbargainer.

        Is she <90kg?

        • I would have given you all the positive votes for the day. LOL.

What is the black base made of? Any closer pics of the hinge area?
I would agree that the fold up trolleys at cheap as chips, etc have a weak point in the plastic bits that connects the tubes together. One of mine has already split at the plastic bit.

    • +1

Hi Amts that base plate is powder coated mild steel as this is the strongest material and makes it a Heavy Duty trolley in its class

All pivot points are alumimium and mild steel. Only the buffers are hardwearing plastic.

      Trust this makes sense!

Thanks. It gets a preliminary thumbs up from me. Pity these weren't around when I bought my current one a few years ago. I found some of the same ones on ebay, the cheapest being $47. So good deal here.

        • Thanks for that great feedback Amts!

Officeworks on ebay sells it for $99, so it seems a good price

    • Hi thevofa, these ones weigh approx 6kg

    Does this trolley fold up?

    Clicked thru… Yes it does

90kg capacity? Supercheap has a 250kg one for just over $20…

Sorry OP, but I don't think this is heavy duty at all.

    • +9

      Try folding it up.

    • +1

Comparing apples to oranges (industrial foldable aluminium vs some cheap rubbish which also happens to be quite heavy). Also good luck with 250Kgs on the SCA one. I have one of those and it's pretty rubbish once you get over 50Kg.

Also heavy duty isn't just about capacity it's about quality for the designated usage.

I like the $10 one I got from supercheapauto :)

  • Thanks, I got one of these!

Are these useful for moving white goods like fridges?
I bought it thinking it would help with moving house…

    • Are these useful for moving white goods like fridges?

If your fridge is less than 90kg…

      • +3

Out of curiosity I looked up the specs for my Westinghouse 430L bottom mount fridge and it weighs in at 92kg when delivered (in box). This is a mid-size fridge for 3-4 people so I guess that gives you some idea of what you could move with it.

    got 1, thanks man!!!

This post also reminded me I have to get a floor mat…also done :)

Just some info that may help people with regards to trolleys. I recently moved house and I asked the movers about their trolleys and what was best. They told me that they get the cheap Bunnings trolleys but then put expensive inflatable tyres on the trolley. I think the guy told me each tyre costs about $100.

This looks a reasonable price for a foldable trolley delivered, but clearly it is the good tyres that cost the money.

i am still awaiting your response on two broken mats i received from your last deal. i was promised an update 2 days ago and I havent heard back after sending 2 emails and 2 phone calls.

    • +1

      Hi Aman

These have been despatched would you like me to email you a tracking number?

      • does the free shipping work on other items?

  • Thanks OP!

  • +3

I have one of these trolleys. They are useful for moving things around a flat surface (ie. moving file storage boxes around around an office). Given that it's fold up for easy storage this is the obvious intended use.
If you need to go up/down steps or a rough surface though then forget it - you at least need inflatable tires. Also if you get an "bounce" while moving (ie over a brick pathway or even the metal carpet strip in a doorway) it becomes incredibly unstable due to the hard wheels and the spring loaded hinged folding mechanism.

The price seems good, but I too find the title misleading - despite the OP's defense of the description. I would certainly not consider the trolley "heavy duty", and imagine it was used in any "industrial" environment it would have a very short life span and quickly thrown in the "who bought this folding crap piece of sh*t trolley?!?".

  • Thanks Op, I just ordered one

  • -1

I found one for $19 at Bunnings - http://www.bunnings.com.au/saxon-120kg-upright-hand-trolley_…. How does this compare with the one in this deal?

    • One is foldable, one is not.

  • Grabbed one, looks good. Fordable is the selling point.

  • Thanks OP. Got one. Hope the quality is good.

  • How's this compared to the Aldi one recently for $29.99?

  • Any more available Rep?
