        @superforever: Even tablets based on the even-older Z670 are much more responsive than those old netbooks.

        Speed won't fix a shitty screen though. ;)

    HP Slate 7 is a far better option even with half the RAM. Can't easily be purchased in Australia, though, but will probably go for $110~ delivered from Amazon with $25 MS Store credit.

        Not currently shipping to Australia, but there's previous OzB posts about the HP Stream 7 (I made a typo and referred to the Android version, the Slate 7).

        Ignoring the screen, the Bay Trail chip in the Stream 7 makes a large difference in performance.

        Yeah I don't know why it's been on special so long, maybe they are getting rid of them, same as Logitech universal remotes
