i got those - nothing ear(a). they are genuinely fantastic for the price.
How is the mic in calls?
I've been using mine for WFH Teams calls and no complaints yet. People report that they can hear me loud and clear.
I use mine at work (busy office) and I've been told alot of background noise is being picked up. Even me typing is irritating for the user on the other end.
They are fully updated.
they're bluetooth earbuds. mic is always going to be terrible. the only time it isn't is when the person on the other end is too polite to tell you so.

I have a pair of QCY MeloBuds Pro. 6 mics it total. I walk down a busy street and people don't hear anything but me.
And yes, they will tell me. They've told before when I had crappy earbuds or headsets and told me to get new ones. So I did.
🤷 I guess it’s possible there are buds that work well for it. 6 mics and good onboard processing probably the secret there. I would happily be proven wrong - would be keen to hear an audio recording from your buds. Perhaps I’ll search one up.
The vast majority don’t from my experience. Takes a bit of effort to overcome the sheer distance between your mouth and your ear when that’s where the mic is. It’s a nature of the beast thing as far as I can tell.
I use them at work on construction sites for the noise cancelling (its fantastic), the mic is great, no complaints, never ever have had to repeat myself to others, they can hear me just fine and they do not hear any background noise at all.

Bass quality destroy every other high end buds I've tried.
Love them and won't be changing any time soon.
i've had mine for a while and fully agree. the craziest thing for me though is the battery life. i use them daily (not for hours and hours, but a fair bit) and it's always such a long time between charges that it catches me by surprise.

just bought some Nothing CMF buds 2 plus, 10.5 hour battery life and top soundguys rating in budget category for <$70
Bought a pair recently and have had to send them back already. I wanted to love them, but the fit was really rough, and the seal was pretty poor. I also tried them with a bunch of different ear tips, but the big foam ones that I had left over from my Sonys didn't fit in the case, and the small foam ones were basically useless. SpinFits also didn't make the situation much better compared to stock (but at least they fit in the case).
If you like the fit of AirPods Pro, these are a really good alternative. They sounded great, the noise cancelling was good enough, and the multipoint pairing was really reliable!
Try AZ80/100 you might like them. Great all rounder and significant better fit than AirPods Pros, just not quite as smart especially when paired with iphones.
I tried them right before, but the noise cancelling did my head in. I felt like I could hear everything coming through, but with a really harsh robotic filter over it. Could’ve just had a dodgy batch, but it put me off.
When I buy nothing, I get nothing delivered 😂
