These reviews give a bit of an idea what the phone looks like

One of the reviews said: It doesn’t love multitasking, so you’ll need to be patient while switching tasks.
First, viewing angles are quite rubbish, because this phone uses a TN-type panel rather than the more popular IPS kind. More annoying, the phone has no effective anti-reflective coating.

According to the GSMARENA page, here:

It is a Dual-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7

Good price for a dual core - I think

For a dual core, I thought the price was good. I wouldn't get a single core phone, I have got a single core mobile. It gets slow and you have to use defrag and ram boosters/cleaners to get it speedier.

I don't know if this mobile is any good, so do your research first before purchasing. Look at reviews, they can give you alot of info and tell you what the customer thought about it

    • bought one in burwood plaza nsw

Keep in mind, I just bolted together a Y550 for $55 with a 16GB top notch Samsung Micro SD card, a brilliant rubberized leather case, rooted with the SD card taking most of the apps. Thing has an antutu score 20888. Not bad! So for an extra $29 you get something that is on par with the performance of a Galaxy S3! If your willing to build it yourself.

Forgot to mention, $3 on ebay and it's unlocked to any provider.

    • yes, there are heaps on ebay

    • Can you please provide the link to leather case?

It's got a partial folding back on it (so you can use it as a stand). It also has a full rubber bumper protection shield on it (helps with drops) with FULL button sealing (with indents to help you push the buttons). They operate as normal but it helps prevent water ingress. Comes with a screen protector (worth $1), a decent USB cable (worth about $1.50) and a stylus pen (which is good quality… but I don't use them). It ALSO comes from a NSW seller with quick postage and great protection in the mail.

So… your getting another $2.50 worth on top of the case. It's not the cheapest on eBay, but it's definately one of the best value offers.

Forgot to mention… it also has a clear plastic window you can use for ID and card slots. I've bought two already and highly recommend them.

          Thanks kronicmacstigator, ordered one.

yeah the y550 kicks arse, easy to root too.

I also vote for the y550 (picked up mine today and got unlocked same day thanks to bag_man).

    This pales in comparison.

I like the last one the best, because it tells you if the battery is removable or non removable:
    http://www.devicespecifications.com

This is important: Before purchasing from overseas, make sure it supports the Australian Mobile phone network frequencies:

You can also write email or live chat to ask them about compatibility and use of the mobile in other countries

If you want something with more RAM ROM and bigger screen you could always go to one of the following places and buy the phone from overseas. They have the octacore phones now. Check with live chat or write an email before purchasing to see if they ship the phone with the Australian wall plug charger. I don't know if all of the following websites ship to Australia, but most of them do:

Some of them offer free shipping worldwide on certain products.
Please check with http://www.devicespecifications.com to see if the battery is removable. Some of the octacore ones do have a removable battery (but not all of them do). I saw the screen sizes go up to 5.7" on some models

This phone has 3GB RAM and the battery is removable - They should make ALL mobiles with this much ram - not just this one
