Samsung Galaxy S6 64GB $1008 from Virgin Mobile ($957.60 with OW Price Match)

50

Hi, I am a new poster so please be gentle. Virgin Mobile offers the Samsung Galaxy S6 64GB for $1008, call up Officeworks on 1300 OFFICE and they will price match it for $957 delivered. Officeworks has a limited selection of the S6 so please check their stock before calling them. They will need to call Virgin Mobile to check if the phone is not locked to the virgin network and if they have stock, just bought one this morning.

Update thanks to @swordling: To purchase the phone from virgin mobile, you must be a virgin mobile customer. The price match from officeworks however doesn't require you to be a customer of virgin.

Price matching is not a deal. Please put actual price of item in the title, followed by possible price match price via OW.

    Price Matching Deals

Some merchants offer Pricematch against the same product listed online or in other shops. However, price match itself is not a deal, but rather a method to make a merchant to sell you the same product at a lower price than another merchant's publicly listed price (which is usually the lowest price around).

Therefore, instead of posting the price match as a bargain, the real deal should be from the merchant who is offering the lowest price. Price matching is a bonus, and other members of OzBargain need to arrange their own price match. For example a specific model of HP laptop is cheapest at DickSmith, and you get Officeworks to price match at 5% less. To post this deal:

Use the merchant you are price match against. For example:

Title: HP Laptop $500 at DickSmith ($475 at Officeworks via Price Match)
URL: URL of the product at DickSmith's website.

Mention that you are able to use price match at a competing merchant.

Remember to have a link to your receipt as a proof that (in this example) Officeworks do allow price matching
on this product. Use Media File Uploader if you need to.

I talked to a Virgin rep about this and they convinced me that this was only for Virgin customers only. But that doesn't mean you can't trick Officeworks in to price matching ;)

Thank you, I wasn't aware of that. I will update that on the post. I myself am not a virgin customer, but office-works doesn't ask that.

Virgin Doncaster was willing to sell it to me outright for $1008. Unlocked with Optus bloatware

I've upvoted you. I actually did this instore yesterday. They we're thrilled about it, but didn't object. Apparently they had head office approval, and they'll look into the offer to presumably find a reason to get out of the price beat.

Honestly, they aren't identical items, as Virgin has Optus firmware, where as the Officeworks one is unbranded. Both are unlocked
