A great price. I have a smaller version it's fantastic.

  • Smaller version very impressive, by look of reviews it extends to this larger version too. Essentially more sound, more bass, newer bluetooth, and better battery life.

Fantastic for camping etc, will easily last you a night of campfire partying, more often than not a couple. So extended battery life makes this absolutely fantastic…

    Great price!

  • I saw this a couple of days but review for topbuy is not good. Anybody have a good experience with them. The next cheapest price is harvey norman at $300

    • Yeah i orderd one on Monday and it arrived Friday. Black was out of stock so orderd the blue one at the time. Also for anyone interested the battery in this speaker is replaceable. Though you are sposed to send it to UE you could probably do it yourself.

I think most of the bad comments were all about warranty claim and how hard it is to deal with Topbuy.

      • Argon - you seem to be the only person on this post who has so far actually received the UE Megabooms.
What charger did they come with - do they have the Australian plug or does the charger have the HK plug??????
I am keen to know the answer before ordering

Damn you Ozbargain! I was perfectly happy with my life and my UE Boom until this deal came along to sit in the back of my mind until I inevitably throw $230 at it…

    • Dont worry the next deal is on therapy! :p

  • $17.75 postage to my address in WA… might wait for a better deal :(

I don't think a better deal is likely forthcoming. These things have fantastic reviews, and deservedly. I thought I did okay talking price down to $300. The price on the smaller ones has hardly dropped. Topbuy clearly are moving part of the price to postage to attract attention to a ridiculously low price. I don't see anyone selling them for that in the near future.

I guess I need a 2nd one to try out the stereo function :)

      • Shhhhhh!!! Your pushing me over the edge to buy one. I've been on the fence for the past day… but I think you're right, with a $349 RRP, the standard deal is probably gonna be $299 maybe with a $20 off code from dick smith if its not excluded… and this price still beats that…. so maybe i should get one now while i can… Damn you!

Edit: Too late, out of stock. :'(

        • See the post re Fugoo below. There may be a better speaker available, so you don't want to rush into a decision.
          Worked for me :)

…. see! a little bit of procrastination resolves such dilemmas

        • @SlickMick:
          So true :)

  • Should I do it?

  • Nice deal! I've been looking at these for a month, had a few options left, and this was one of them. Prior to this deal I was looking at a Fugoo roughed unit, expense but well worth it from what I can tell.

  • Argon - you seem to be the only person on this post who has so far actually received the UE Megabooms.
What charger did they come with - do they have the Australian plug or does the charger have the HK plug??????
I am keen to know the answer before ordereing..

    • It came with an Australian plug. Same charger and cable as in all the reviews. One of my gripes with the unit is that it is difficult to use other usb cables due the recessed square hole in the unit itself.

  • I ordered two of these units and paid for them with PayPal. About 10 days later, I received an email from Top Buy saying their units had damaged packaging, along with a PayPal refund.
    So - still looking…
