    There's always a catch…

Just tried my existing account and it worked .. yay

  • Damn didn't work for my existing account.

    • Not sure why. Applied coupon code, logged in my account, went to checkout and the promo was there

      • Have you taken advantage of all the other past Audible promos?

I tried again without being logged in. It looks like it's about to work, but then after logging in it wants to charge me $14.95. Maybe I've taken advantage of too many Audible promotions.

Worked fine for me on my existing account.

    Thanks EC!

  • Please explain steps to get this coupon applied at audible?

It doesn't seem to work for existing accounts ? Are you a paid up subscriber?

To see it in the checkout is it added in the cart? If so what is the purchase?
    or
Do you redeem it as a promotional code?

    audible.com or audible.com.au?

    Any clues appreciated…

    • Just copy the code from Living Social then go to www.audible.com.au and redeem the code upon checkout. If it doesn't work try www.audible.com and repeat the same steps. Works for me (on the same account) despite being a former Audible member through Amazon. There will be no charge to your account and you will recieve a confirmation email of enrolment. Thanks OP!

Worked for me. I went through all the steps without logging in. I only logged in when I was prompted. Gold membership applied and it seems to worked. However, set an alarm or reminder to cancel the account before you get charged after the 2 free months.

If you don't want to deal with that, just redeem a book now and then cancel straight away.

My suggestion would be The Martian by Andy Weir. Superb book:

    Thanks EC

  • For reference didn't work for me tried Fryandlaurie's method and also tried making a few other accounts on LS for extra codes none worked. weird how it'll work for some and not for others. Even though it didn't work thanks for posting as most of the time it does work for me! Love me some free/discounted audible!

Also for reference if your a new customer and only here for the 2 free books use this one http://www.audible.com/twit2 It'll support Twit instead of living social and you'll get both books right now then cancel (if you want) as opposed to potentially forgetting to cancel in a months time.

    • Send the customer care team an email. I am sure they'll award one or two free books anyway. They're nice like that most of the time. Thanks for the twit link. I would have used that if I wasn't a member already.

      • Eh I'm an existing non subscribing member and I think I've cancelled a sub at least 2-3 times already so chances are they won't do anything if I contact them. No prob about the Twit link I like that audibles supporting them so always good to put out that if your new it's an immediate option.

  • Do you need to provide Cc details?
Last time I forgot to cancel :(

    • Yep, it will renew with the CC on file (which you need to register).

Consider using the twit2 link above which gives you the 2 credits but then you can cancel straight after. Only new accounts though.

      • Thanks. Looks like it works on my old account.
You would need to wait one month in order to redeem the two books, before you can cancel.

  • How many devices can you copy a purchased book onto?
