Is your beef-jerky the soft or hard type?
Hi Bob-All we do is the hard type-the soft stuff has a short shelf life unless they add things in it to preserve it. Ours have No artificial flavours and is cooked over 12 hours to a very low water activity level so nasties cannot grow in it. The method I use has been passed down from generation to generation.

I can vote as many times as I want for whoever I want by simply enterting the URL http://www.geronimojerky.com/postercomp/voted.aspx?g=1 and changing the last number after the "=" symbol to any number between 1 and 10.
Once this URL is in the address bar all I have to do is refresh the page to register another vote. There are programs (add-ons) out there that can continuously refresh a web page every second or sooner. My guess is people have figured this out and are exploiting it.
I guess the only thing you can do now is pull the poll and work on a more secure voting system. Maybe only allow members 1 vote each, or require a "captcha" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAPTCHA) verification screen to disallow non-human votes.http://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/edit/124337

i recieved my big pack last thursday… i'd recommend that you rethink the packaging for the 1kg bags.
When i recieved it, the bag already had a hole in it and was quite moist because i assume where it came from was raining and the bag isnt resealable so ive since had to find other storage options for it.
The jerky is good when its fresh but after not too long in the humid queensland climate, it doesnt stay good for long…
I ordered a 1kg, 2x200gm and 2x40gm packs.
Its good jerky, the packaging leaves abit to be desired.

The jerky has landed!
Just a quick note to say my order from last Monday turned up the following Friday! BC very kindly put in a few extra packs with the kilo, which was fantastic! The T-Shirt was pretty cool too, so cool in fact the missus has pinched it as a nightie, cheeky wench! ;)
The jerky tastes every bit as good as the sample, I'm very happy overall (except for the shirt thing - but if I said no she'd make my life hell!).
Will report back in soon when I try the Spicy Shaman, gotta run, thanks again BC! :)

You can store it in the pantry and it will last for months and months-we are testing with foos scientist to see if we can actually get a shelf life of 1 year which I think we will accomplish.

I noticed you're using the standard Australia Post service. Have you considered using eParcel instead? It could be simpler and cheaper.

I can't tell you whether it's better than registered post or not, because it depends on what Australia Post can negotiate with you. With the volume you're doing though, I'd highly recommend you talk to Australia Post directly for the best deal.

Received my order today - speedy post. The original is OK, the spicy shaman lacked spicyness…tasted more or less like the original but darker. Both were slightly tougher than i expected compared to asian jerky.
Btw i didn't get my samples as promised =(

Tell me what type of Jerky you like or what spices? We are working on a couple different ones and also working on making our flavours more and more intense. We will always have dry jerky, its safer with low chance of bacteria growth and it is the method my family has been using for over 100 years.

Received me 1kg bag of original jerky on Saturday morning - dunno why it came on a saturday…
Got the free shirt too, which surprisingly is actually a decent looking shirt. Thought it might be pretty cheapo.
1kg is a lot of jerky, should last a while.
Its actually a great quality shirt-We will be investing in some more next year but in a variety of colours.
