Frangrance: Beckham Signature Men EDT 75ml $15, down from $59 @ Priceline

367

Hi all.

Priceline is currently selling Beckham Signature Men EDT 75ml for $15, down from $59. For comparison, they are still selling the 50ml for $39 on the website. Not sure how much shipping is, but is free if you spend over $100.

I also noticed there were two at Chemistworks, Broadway Shopping Centre (near the front counter) which were the same price, so this might be a good deal at other locations as well.

Iam using the one from Chemist warehouse, surprisingly good, however it was half price when I bought it from CW at around $12.00. Begs the question whether the CW product is genuine. I do find that the scent wears off after a few hours.

    • +3

maybe it's old stock. sometimes the stock sits at their front shop window. probably affected by heat from sunlight too

    • +1

Chemist warehouse buys from the same supplier as Myer and sometimes they only make $1 on a bottle of perfume. Their products are real.

    • +2

Chemist Warehouse, of course, sells genuine products. I bought some CK and Versace EDT as X-mas presents for cheap prices.

Some perfumes, especially the cheaper ones, are not very long-lasting. However, it may because you are used to the smell of it so you think it wears off quickly. Believe me, 2-3 sprays are enough if you don't want to choke people when on the bus or at work place.

You can see reviews and other useful information of the perfumes you want to buy at: http://www.fragrantica.com or http://www.fragrancenet.com.

If you want to check whether your cosmetics are fresh and how long they can be used before expiration date, use these websites: http://www.checkfresh.com or http://checkcosmetic.net

      Cheers!

a lot of people are going to smell like Becks.

    • Not sure I'd want to smell like beer.

  • more like beckham stinkature

I got this for maybe $11 at a chemist last year. Refreshing and unique smell but has poor longevity and poor projection after two hours.

    Don't trust the "RRP".

Beckham fragrances are actually pretty good for the money. Gives you that expensive smell for cheap. Should be the ozbargain staple along with eneloops and woodworm umbrellas

    • +2

Lol - I'm sporting my signature & woodworm today.
      Will charge some eneloops tonight.

      • +2

Charge them for free at the local library

        • Sir!

    Good for everyday wear.

    I prefer Instinct, much nicer.

  • +3

It's selling for 12.99 at chemist warehouse

    • As pointed out above it's not the cheapest price. Second best priced items should not be making the front page.

Beckham Intimately Night for Men (discontinued) was my favourite out of the range. (had a coconut note i really like)

RRP on fragrances are only useful within the first year they launch. Sellers always deceive people with RRP that are 10+ years old.
Only high end fragrances like Chanel, Tom Tord or niche brands hold their RRP.

Celebrity scents can be found at cost price to get customers through the door, create extra sales volumes (helps with ebay feedback/shipping rates), and it's also another avenue of marketing.

Celebrity scents can be found @ bargain prices on eBay too. Regardless, Beckham fragrances are bang for your buck. So it is a bargain.

    • Still available in eBay but it's about $1 per 1ml. Crazy expensive but really nice.

      • Couple of eBay sellers offering it for $26-28 including ''free' delivery. (.37 cents/ml)
Another seller offering it for $16.5 + $9 delivery, and $5 postage on additional bottles. Each additional bottle $21.5 (.28 cents/ml)

Works out to be a similar price if you happen to need the item delivered.

I was referring to Beckham intimate night and not signature. Sorry, I should have been clearer.

  • Thanks heaps!!

Beckham signature is my daily fragrance, going to grab a couple.

Lol gtfo this never is for sale for $59

    Also $12.99 at My Chemist:
    http://www.mychemist.com.au/product.asp?id=57593&pname=David…

Can use AMEX at My Chemist, so that's a pro over shopping at Chemist Warehouse..

  • hmm sorry op. Better price elsewhere as stated above.
I would normally check chemist warehouse before buying fragrance from anywhere else.

  • Thanks OP for starting the discussion about it!

  • Sorry OP but I can find it cheaper at my local Chemist Warehouse.

I agree, i bought a 100ml bottle of Versace fresh at chemist warehouse for $49, i wanted a bottle to leave at work as well, so went to pri$eline and bought what i thought was a 100ml bottle for $63… only when i got back to the office i discovered that it was only a 50ml bottle! for $63…

      I was not happy..

      • +2

Why didn't you buy from CW again but Priceline for higher price? And why didn't you check the bottle volume and return when you could? I sympathize but, to be honest, it was your fault then.

I suggest that you buy a perfume atomizer to pump up some of the perfume and bring it with you anywhere you go. It's much more convenient than buying a separate bottle because I don't think you will quickly use up two 100 ml bottles in a short time or you may want to try a different scent when you get bored with the old perfume.

        • How do you get the perfume into the atomizer? As the head if the original u normally can't take off.

        • +2

          @tc4101: just spray it in

        • @muncan: Lol!

        • @tc4101: Most perfume bottles have caps that can be easily taken off to show the nozzle underneath. That's how machines pump perfume into the bottles, isn't it? Some bottles may be different. I really don't know about David Beckham range because I haven't tried any of them so sorry!

BTW, when buying an atomizer make sure that it has a pump mechanism on the bottom of it or else you have to pour perfume directly from bottles to atomizers. Believe me, you'll waste more perfume doing the latter way.

      • If I couldn't read, I wouldn't be happy too! :)

  • +1

By the way I think it's still expensive at 12$ considering it's a synthetic fragrance with poor performance

    • Man, at $13/75 ml, it's cheap like 17 cents/ml. The perfume is good enough for casual use. You can't ask more for that price!

  • Got one today, signature from chemist warehouse, $12.99

    • yep @ CW its 12.99

  • OP mark this deal as expired.

Went to priceline 2d n brought one.I paid
    $29.50! Not the OZB way!!
GRRR I didnt even read the comments in this deal before i purchased one.
There was a 50% off fragrance special and they said that the $15 price expired yesterday 27 April. So i had a look at the other beckham fragrances and signature was the best smelling one. So i ended up getting it cause i liked the smell and the "special" priceline differnce with the RRP.Fell victim to the RRP markup.

Going back 2m to try to get a refund or exchange.

    • +1

Return it and get it at Chemist Warehouse or My Chemist..
Plenty of comments above have mentioned how it's $12.99, even cheaper than the $15 Priceline deal that has expired.

  • Yup thats what im gonna do 2m. CW is actually located closer to me. Next time i know to check for prices at CW first b4 buying.

  • Obviously Chemist Warehouse is cheaper.
