When there are so many discount codes, it makes the 'sale' price more common than the rrp, so the word bargain means little from dse.

Time for their spam to move to the forums.

      Then dont read it.

Adding the Super20 to the Google Nexus Player making it $109 ($129) is really pushing me to buy one…

In all fairness to Dick, Some of the regular discounts do add up especially when you need to buy something with an already reduced price like this speaker which i missed the last time around.

    • How's this compare to the veticle Logitech one? Or even Bose?

      • I would also be keen to know - if anyone has had experience with both.

      • +1

I bought one of these from JB Hi Fi in the boxing day sales for $115 and I reckon the sound quality is really good. Haven't compared to others but I was happy paying that much so any less is just a steal.

I had a listen to this one and the Bose colour soundlink in store. I reckon the Bose sounds better (but I am certainly no audiophile so don't take my word on this one), and it's definitely nicer looking. But it's not ~$100 worth of better by my ozbargain reckoning and I ordered me a Sony. Thanks OP!

    • Thanks to OP and yourself..Bought one for $29 (used my DS $50 gift card)..

    • Interesting how Dick Smith changed the online price to $98 (only for) Friday, when there was a FRIDAY25 discount code that was applicable for purchases of $99, but have not brought the online price back up to $99.

(I ended up getting a couple of AA batteries – which was the cheapest eligible SKU I could find at the time – to add to my order on Friday, and bought the SRS-X3B for just under $76.)

As you say, easily overcome with a cheap item.

  • Guys, any electric shaver you would recommend?

    • +4

Get a Double Edge Safety Razor and be done with it.

      • Mate, those are classified as weapons nowadays.

        • An electric shaver could be if you went for the ghoulies..

      • +3

Pretty much this. Bought a braun 790 and the best shave I'v gotten out of it was equivalent to a 5 o'clock shadow on my straight/de razor. Takes twice longer and more passes and you'll never achieve baby butt smooth shaves.

    • goto Amazon, they sell them much cheaper

      • Thanks guys. I ended buying the foil for my Braun 550cc and the cleaning solution for $72 delivered instead filling up the landfill.

  • makes this asus I5 laptop $714 minus trs about $650 not bad but not the lightest for travel and only vga webcam. http://www.dicksmith.com.au/laptops-notebooks/asus-15-6-f555…

      Worked fine for me.

Is it excluding everything worth buying like usual?

    • +1

No. See above comments for good deals.

  • Seagate 1TB Backup portable drives were $89 on Friday online because I wanted to use the Friday25 code.

Looked online, they are now selling for $99.

Nice try DSE, but no cigar.

    Tricky Dick!

      $79 Is still a good price :)

      • Not as good (potentially) $69 though (until they jacked up the price) :(

EDIT: I might get it because I actually need one now. :/

staticice prices list the Seagate 1TB portable as low as $94 and officeworks everyday price is $99

        • You still get a 10 dollar discount?

They were a catalogue item that finished Friday or Saturday.

Looked online, they are now selling for $99.

      Tricky Dick!

Is it too hard to understand that many items are placed on sale for a week or two before reverting back to the original or a new price?

      • My bad, I didn't know it was their sale price. I thought it was their normal RRP.

        Thanks for the clarification.

    • -3

Hmm - so no hacks then?

    • Try deepweb.

  • Any recommendation for this GPS ?
    http://www.dicksmith.com.au/in-car-navigation/navman-my400lm…

Are they any GPS that comes with Speed Camera Alerts ?

with the discount code it would bring down to 123$ thanks

    • +1

Most GPS have speed camera alerts. When buying GPS, think about free map updates and screen size.I use Tom Tom 6inch and very happy with it. NavMan is also recommended by most people. item is out of stock though
