  • Anyone got any reviews/opinions about the PQ of this TV? Thanks

  • I am wondering about using it as a PC monitor. Would mostly be used for media and internet… no gaming whatsoever. Would that contrast ratio and response time be a problem?

  • @harthagan There's a reason why most people wouldn't use LCD TVs as a PC monitor. The LCD TV resolution is absolutely terrible if used at close distance. It would look very grainy and pixilated, especially at close distance (1 feet) surfing the web all day. I learnt that from a personal (and painful) experience. It hurt my eyes from the very first day of use.

A 24" LCD monitor with a resolution of 1920 x 1080p will always look bettern than a 32" LCD TV with a resolution of 1920 x 1080p when surfing the web at close distance. Although they both have the same resolution, the 24" LCD monitor compacts the same amount of pixels on a smaller area, whilst the 32" LCD TV spreads out the same number of pixels over a much larger area.

If a 32" LCD TV would double its number of pixels, then maybe the 32" LCD would look indistinguishable to the look of a 24" LCD monitor at the same distance.

There is a reason why a 32" LCD monitor is 3 times more expensive than a 32" LCD TV…because the LCD monitor has more pixels in it, hence less grainy and easier to surf the web all day at close distance!!!

  • Resolution is no problem for me. Ive used a 42" LCD b4 and it was perfect. My only concerns are the contrast ratio and the response time.
