At this price I can finally stop drinking instant!

  • Thanks Op, a Steal at this price!

  • Which is better? comparing with Lavazza Coffee Machine (by Saeco) & 156 Capsules $99 Delivered @ Officeworks????

    • +2

For about $90 you can get 144 capsules and 2 coffee machines at Woolworths? Another $9 will get another 12 pack to make it 156 capsules for $99 and 2 coffee machines. I guess the Lavazza coffee or the machine would have to be much better to make the Office works a better deal. Your call!

cant comment on the woolies ones, but i have the lavazza Mio machine and i like it. but the pods are a lot more expensive than the woolies ones (coles usually have them on special for about $9 for a pack of pods) but there are two different lavazza machines, which gets a bit confusing some times.

  • We are temporarily out of stock of the following items from your order.

Your credit/debit card used for payment will be refunded with the amount of $35.54. Your refund will take 3 to 5 business days to show back into your account, dependant on your financial institution's processing times.

This is like my iPhone 6 deal with online DSE all over again - snatched the deal on time but the transactions got cancelled.

sometimes with the woolies deals, it is better to book the click n collect as late as you can into the future. then it is more likely that the store has it back in stock.

  • ended up with $40.34 here brisbane

  • Got one for $36.14. Nice deal.

  • Should remove the expired, and just update the codes/prices. The deal still works

    • Cheers, I've just updated so will ask for 'EXPIRED' to be removed.

  • Thanks OP - managed to snag one. I set a later click and collect date (tomorrow). I'm just wondering how many people have successfully collected their items? I'm just hoping that they don't cancel my order for some random reason!

    • Picked up today from Garden City, QLD. Nice coffee - having one now! :)

  • Thanks OP. Still works. Managed to get them at $40.4 including a 375g chicken nugget on half price special. It hasn't been cancelled yet but who knows?? My wife is sick of too many coffee machines so I might use this in my office.

    • At what point does a chicken nugget become a schnitzel?

I have a feeling that 375g is way past that point!

they gonna cancel all the orders paid for $35ish, and their excuse is the term and conditions blah blah, good luck peeps

  • Picked mine up from Brisbane, Newstead Woolies. Paid $35.40. No problems at all at the counter, guy who retrieved it was super nice :) Thumbs up

  • All good, picked up from Woolies Joondalup!

Just picked mine up in WA. No problems!

No Vittoria coffee pods on the shelves at local Woolies so they have obviously had a busy day!

  • Castletown OLD had at least 10 in stock at the end of the aisle. No probs with click and collect for the $35.40.

  • I have just placed the order and the total is $42.78. (pick up on Sat from the store)

The deal is still available online.

Note: Espressotoria Capsules Italian Blend 12pk is $6.99 before discount

  • Just picked up mine too! First coffee tasted great! Got mine for the $35ish first offered.

  • picked mine up with no issues. thx OP

  • it's $45.30 with either of the 3 codes but unable to stack with the $10 off $50 code 'NQ8LUZ'

    • It didn't stack from the beginning :( No need to be worried…

  • Does anybody know about capsules Piazza D'oro Capsules L'or Espresso https://www2.woolworthsonline.com.au/Shop/ProductDetails?sto…
can they be used in this machine?

    • +1

i dont think so. i think they are for nespresso machines

      • thanks for the reply, yep, I've already found out that they suit for nespresso machines…

  • Got 2 delivered today (one each for me and the missus). Just in time as the capsules I got from the MAP deal from way back are almost finished (2x144). We now have 4 coffee machines! Good thing I didn't get the Lavazza deal :-).

    • Which one tastes better this one or the MAP pods. I only used about 80 from MAP deal. I am thinking of selling the MAP machine and pods.

      • I haven't used it yet. I'm finishing off my remaining MAP capsules first.

Just in case anyone is a bit dumb like I was, the plastic raised part where your cup sits can be pulled off so you can fit a regular size cup, just have to move the metal grate down once you pull it off

Just got a call from woolies cancelling the order calling it a pricing error. Oh well.

    • mine was delivered this morning, paid 45 for it.

  • There are plenty of creative ways to get more than one cup from this!

For example, one pod, two espresso shots (two cups), add milk and microwave (for those that swing this way). Or if you can't take your coffee strong, one shot and water it, then ask for a normal cup (two cups out of one pod). I'm sure there are other ways as well.

Brings the current cost down to 25c a cup. Not bad! I like it!

Also, I've been dropping the pod then asking for 'coffee' until the water runs clear just to clean it out before it has a chance to get funky inside.

    • There really isn't enough grinds in a pod to get 2 cups. It will be horribly stretched, and if a lungo is your cup then by all means go for the 2x cups in 1 cup.

I got the machine today and have my own real espresso machine. I use more grinds with my real machines in a single cup than what is in a pod. With my espresso machine my usual double espresso latte would be about 3x the amount of grinds in a single cup in a single pour.

Having said that the convience of a pod is just great. A dash of frothed milk with the pod for a machiato is delicious and TBH will become my morning coffee rather than making a double espresso latte (for convenience sake. This thing warms up in a minute compared to the 5+ minutes I need to warm up my 'real' machine, and I was actually really impressed with my first cup from the espressotoria.

Perhaps you may be better off making a long black by doing the single cup in the espresso latte and then adding hot water to taste. You won't get the bitterness that will come from stretching a single pod to 2x cups.

TLDR: If you keep pushing water through a small quantity of beans (such as in a pod) then it tastes bitter. Just add hot water to a single large cup and it keeps the taste but doesn't really add the bitterness of stretching a single pod into 2x large cups.

Ours arrived yesterday. First cups tasted horrible to us (in comparison to our usual espresso-based drinks from a proper, but low-end machine). After configuring the buttons to 30ml and 180ml, we are much happier. No more bitter aftertaste from overextracting due to the default 'espresso' setting being 50ml. For a long black, I press the large coffee button without a pod in (180mll hot water) and pour into a preheated cup (microwaved empty for 1 minute). Then put a pod in, press the small coffee button (30ml coffee, single shot), put another pod in and press the small coffee button (30ml coffee again to make it a double shot long black).

For a flat white, I microwave 180ml milk for 1 minute, put a pod in and press the small coffee button (30ml coffee, single shot).

    • Still wondering how you programmed it to deliver different coffee sizes!

      • +3

A long press on each button will trigger the water flow. When you have enough water (30ml for right button or 180ml for left button), press the button again to stop. This will record the desired flow volume. The defaults are 50ml and 110ml I think. HTH.

  • NYTPM6XC still works. I got it for $42.78 online click and collect.
    Why is this deal expired?

    • was posted as $35.40 - now $40.30 is cheaper than $44/$42.78 :)

      • fair enough

  • I've never really used any pod system before, is this machine restricted to the Esspressotoria branded capsules or can others be used in this machine?

    Cheers!

    • if you have a look though the post, people have commented in regards to using the aldi brand ones with it…

I picked mine up this morning - $45.30 - for 3 machines and 6 coffee packs. Seems you could just add as many machines as you wanted for free once you met the 6 capsule requirement… I figured three was enough to last me if one breaks.

Came out in a trolley, guy behind the desk looked at me oddly and goes "did you get the machine for free?" and I just shrugged and said "yeah it was a deal online". Sweet!

    • just tried and they must of changed it. i could only add one for free

      • Yeah that's possible - it was a click & collect order - I just set for sat morning to pickup as I know that's a time I'll usually be around. Shame you can't do it anymore, seems they were changing price, terms, etc. very quickly as people were trying to order.

        PS Why the negs? :/

        • I had a couple in my cart, on day one, it certainly didn't work… pics or it didn't happen.

        • @wisc:

Oh… is that what it is? Why would anyone make up something like that??

Anyway the two spares are sitting in the garage. Lucky I had the printout still for this ! http://pasteboard.co/ctqM5In.jpg

        • @dstambou:

" Why would anyone make up something like that??"

I wondered that same thing every day!

but seeing that and assuming your just not REALLY good at shopping I bow down to you!

When I did the same it added two lots of $$ onto my list…

        • @wisc: hah it's just more cr$p in the garage. Heard these can be a bit finnicky, so it saves me from having to bother with returns etc when this one inevitably dies. Woolies were scrambling to change things, so must have changed one of the rules when they were changing the price, I reckon I just got in at a lucky time. I had one in the cart and was like "hrmm, I wonder what will happen if I put it up to 2… oh… what about three? Ok three is enough".

  • Ordered mine on Wednesday to pick up Saturday morning and when i arrived they said the order had been cancelled on Saturday because they were out of stock.
They only process the order on the day of pickup although they quite happily charge your credit card when you place the order and even though they are getting more in stock i still have to reorder.
I also have to wait at least 3 - 5 business days to get the original cost refunded on the credit card.

  • Anyone else having a problem where heaps of grinds end up in the cup?

    It's pretty disgusting.

    • I have not had any issues. Return it for a new one if you can't get it sorted.

      • no grinds in mine. maybe return it for a swap, should be easy

  • Just saw tonight that this deal is still valid and on at Woolies Bondi Junction, they had about half a dozen machines and heaps of pods available. Don't know if this counts as a new deal or not being expired but fyi if anyone is interested.
