Most stores around me are still out of stock from last time :(

  • Don't think the manager at my local would even honor it this time. They were foul last time saying they were rejecting all the orders :/

Greensbrough Vic had no problems, only statement from the staff was "these cables are a good price at the moment aren't they".

      • I had pretty much the same response from my local, saying they're a bargain but definitely not complaining. Could be because I'm in the country though and there's less OzB's this way.

      • Same here.
Bought mine last week, heard about this one being a steal (which I agree) and I couldn't manage to get a black cable (as I wanted)… So I have my dark-blue one, not tested yet.

So my order from last time arrived, i'm currently up to ELEVEN seperate parcels (and more being delivered by Toll today).

Dispatched the same item from three different stores (order the itemx3 obviously). Must cost them a fortune in postage, makes the $9 I paid look pretty alright. It would have fit all in a 5kg satchel, instead has been shipped in 11 individual bags (so far).

Grabbed 20m of coaxial super cheap last time. Check your local, might have some.

      same
      10 parcels for 10 3m Cat6 cables, the courier asked why I would order 1 at a time…LOL
I am waiting for my 10m Cat 6 still..

      • Same happened to me - even stock that all came from the same origin was packaged individually!

I didn't realise they were using Toll - I thought DSE used Aus Post, and had my order addressed to my parcel locker - so Toll declared the address to be "invalid" and I had to go pick them up, which meant they had to scan the package, enter my details, and get my signature ten times over. Took about 15 minutes…

  • Cheers OP…grabbed another cable and an RJ45 coupler :)

Me too, now I can steal my neighbours broadband via a wired connection!

  • I only need 5m cable but should I get a 10m cable for future proof or is there a disadvantage in doing this apart from the cable being tired up?

    • Cat 5 and 6 should be OK up to 100m

      • Thanks

  • I'm still waiting for delivery from the last deal…approx. this time last week.

No stores hardly had any stock so I paid $9.95 for delivery but as they use Toll Services who won't allow me to redirect from home address to work address.
However, apparently yesterday it was dropped off at Kennards Self Storage about 5kms away?!? They called me to inform me to collect….same issue though for people that work, opening hours 9am-5pm WTF???

    • Thanks for heads up. I put in work address up front.

  • I've got a few in my cart. Just waiting for a discount code email from DSE for an extra 10%-20% off.

  • I oredered a cable on the mobile site. After I'd paid by paypal, i didn't get a click-and-collect option. Only standard shipping which is $8. I live across the street from my local dick smith.
    What do I do now?

    • oh how damn annoying… though you could have kinda walked across the road in the first place if you knew the items were in stock…

  • Just purchased a cable for pickup thanks for the tip - one of my cables is almost dead so this is a score :)

  • Guys who have this cable: anyone tested them to be able to run gigabit speeds? I know it's DSE branded but just wanted to make sure as I've had a run in with terrible 'cat 6' cables that can only run at 100Mbps

Update…so I collected the cables from the Kennards Self Storage 5km away and got home only to find the wrong cables.
It was missing 3 cables and one was the wrong length…jeez!
