  The PS+ and XBLG games for PS4/XBO have been pretty terrible thus far on average. These programs didn't start last gen until there were already these massive catalogs of games to draw from. Hopefully they will improve by next year :/

    Hmm… I understand what you're saying, but there is some evidence that Microsoft are intentionally devaluing GWG on Xbox One.
    For example, They currently have AC Black Flag for free on X360, but the same game has not been offered for free on XBO (maybe because this might cannibalise their current XBO Bundle offer).

    How so? It's the same with PS+ (PlayStation Plus). Except I believe you don't retain the ability to use PS3 games yet (though I sold my PS3 when I got my PS4 so please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).

      well for starters it requires you to be online (Gold) to play a game you've downloaded. Not everyone can afford\justify a Live subscription for 12 months. for example I have a family, work and study. I on the rare occasions I game throughout a year I don't wish to be encumbered by this BS rule.

      For PS+ you have to have an active sub. You get all the games you had via PS+ if you lapse and then resub. That said, you don't have to be actually connected to the net to use the games, only after your PS+ was set to expire when you initially dl'd to make sure you still have PS+. I think XBL is the same and rodripa is confusing it. I might be wrong.

  A 12 month gold subscription to xbox 360 can be had for 40 bucks… The value is insane considering the games they have been giving away…best bargain buy around
