    Based on what? Hoover doesn't seem to have a good reputation these days..

      Way better at picking up pet hair. Has some basic features you would expect out of a cordless/battery vacuum (battery indicator for example). Costs way less than the Dyson V6.

        Certainly a lot of positive reviews there, in my opinion though the form factors of each device are slightly different enough that would play a role. The hoover requires 2 devices to do what the Dyson does in one, the 2in1 and light weight, compact nature of the dyson is the big appeal for me.

        Not sure I can +1 the deal though as the V6 is just a rebranded 59 which were going recently for $390, although sometimes these vacs are like the stockmarket..the weekend the 45 was $299 at HN this week its back to being $450 everywhere so by comparison $30 extra for a v6 is a great deal and you do get the crevice tool via the promotion although not sure that's worth the extra dollars.

        ah bugger it, its the cheapest around at the moment according to static ice and you gotta respect ppl taking the time to post bargains, thanks OP :)

  Discounted price is available in store as well. Picked up a V6 for $479 in store at Chatswood. No further discounts.
