Wouldn't you need to spend a further $4.95 to redeem?

    • -7

      Nope, just the original $4.95

      • +8

Nope, to get the free chips and drink you need to spend $4.95 or more on the next purchase.
But yeah, do it once and you will always get those two items for free, forever…

        • You can do it during the same trip. No need to wait for next purchase.

"You can do it during the same trip. No need to wait for next purchase."

No, you're wrong about that jpl. But there is a 'work-around'… just rock up to KFC an find a receipt lying around (there's almost always one sitting around somewhere), then do the survey on your phone/write the number on the receipt etc.

Also, remember that the drink you get with the survey-code/receipt can be an orange juice; you don't have to get the povo miniature can of soft-drink.

        • @GnarlyKnuckles:

I purchased a twister, took the receipt, filled the survey, walked back to the counter and claimed the chips and drink. All within 10 minutes. How was I wrong?

You got lucky/they were in a good mood. Read the TCs, that's not how it's meant to work.

I use this fortnightly, been rolling from receipt to receipt for nearly a year now. I always use the same code from the 1 survey I ever did, always works (they don't actually enter the code).

It's great, $7 for a city lunchtime scoff, take 1 drink back to the work fridge for another day - WINNING!

    Now about the wasteline…

    • Must be producing a lot of waist.

      • Well I'm 20kg lighter now, but don't eat KFC very often anymore. Wonder if there's a correlation…

  • Is it a bargain, you can't do that without a purchase receipt?

They been doing that for sometime I had it a few times.

Also I found that they never check the code you written on the receipt.

    • "They been doing that for sometime I had it a few times."

Yeppers you're quite right… I'm not sure why this has been posted. It's not a 'new deal', and it's not 'the same deal as last year', as such; the deal actually never ended in the first place.

  • sometimes i saw the chick (sorry) bring my receipt inside to a small computer - i assumed she checks the code make sure it is valid one.
but during busy time, of course they wont check…

    • Yeah we can check them but Managers have a much more sophiscated way of checking the legitmacy if they suspect its invalid

      • What way would ?

The counter staff always ask for their Mgr when I hand in the receipt. What's the deal ? I always write same code anyway w/o probs.

Do they only need Mgnmt to authorise/process the free chips/drnk on the till order?

I've been doing this for a while also, most places are pretty good about it.
The only one I've had a problem with is Everton Park QLD, where the manager will refuse to give you a receipt if you get a free chips & drink with your order.

Now they do a special reprint without the offer, its almost amusing to go there every now and again to see how had they try to discourage it.

I'm fairly sure the secret to the code is that its always divisible by 3 btw.

    • Engadine NSW was really encouraging, the guy there kept reminding me to fill up. Maybe some KFC shop owners are ozbargainers too :-) every cent counts

  • This never ended

  • How soon do you have to do the survey from when you make the purchase?

Also when does the code expire from the survey?

  • +3

KFC worker chiming in here :)

This is all off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure you have 3 days to fill out the survey online, and the code needs to be redeemed within 14 days.
Personally, I never check the date or the code as all the codes are generic (they just give you a code to encourage you to fill out the survey, which benefits the store), but that all depends on the manager on duty. If you have a valid receipt and can't be bothered filling out the survey, just write down any 5 digit number!

You have to spend a minimum of $4.95 for small chips and drink, and a minimum of $19.95 for large chips and drinks. Remember that the sides can be swapped! Small sides can be swapped between small chips, can of drink, small potato & gravy, regular plain gravy or small coleslaw. Large sides can be swapped between lg chips, 1.25L drink, lg p&g or coleslaw, 4 dinner rolls or 2 reg plain gravies (some stores might only give you one though).

Sorry if this comment is too long, but I hope I managed to help :)

    • Awesome, I don't really need the chips but the drinks will come in handy.

    • Last time I did the survey after a month I still could finish it and got the code.

    • is the min spend of $19.95 from the initial purchase or the purchase you are making on the day?

I have had conflicting results from KFC's sometimes even the same store!

      • +1

The minimum spend is of the purchase you are making on the day. If you are bothered you could even try and buy something really cheap (sauces are 50c each or balsamic dressing for 25c haha), get a receipt from that order, write down a code then use it immediately for the meal you want to order! Or just see if there are any receipts lying around, customers tend to leave their receipts on the counter when they pick up their meal :)

        • KFC are very lenient with their receipts.
One time at drive thru I said I've got a code (ready to hand in but I forgot), they didn't even ask for the receipt at the window

Hence I've got about 3-4 receipts accumulated, IS IT POSSIBLE TO STACK of some kind?

The KFC near me has really good service(Chip upsize if you wait too long..etc) ; AND some very pretty girls working front and back house. I'd like to grab one of them back to my house along with a romantic poultry date !

  • I've been using this for months
Some stores don't even need me to show the receipt so I saved a screenshot of the survey screen and have been using that without any issues.

this deal was named and shamed on The Checkout last week

How can something be promised as free if you have to spend 4.95 or 19.95 to redeem it
+ whatever you already spent to get the opportunity to survey
+ the value of our effort and time to laboriously fill a survey

Between the initial purchase and the followup purchase the markup more than covers the 50c can of drink and 50c worth of potato

    No deal here

  • The campaign ends on 26 January. So the kfcfeedback.com.au may be not accessible later.

  • Still working yesterday

Merged from Regular Chips and a Drink Free with Next KFC Purchase (Update on deal with something new I just discovered)

Hello. Firstly I would like to say that I love Ozbargain. This is my first post so please excuse any mistakes.

I'm sure you have seen previous posts on this topic (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/135307) . But there is something else I discovered so I thought I'll share. For those who don't know how it works: (Copied from previous post)

1> Purchase anything from KFC (small chips?)
    2> Go online - http://kfcfeedback.com.au/
    3> Fill a 2 minute survey
4> Write validation code from website on your back of receipt
5> Claim regular chips and drinks

    The twist:

Yesterday I found a receipt lying around. It was from two months ago but I went online and put all other information the same (store id, order number etc etc) EXCEPT THE DATE THAT I CHANGED TO LESS THAN 3 DAYS AGO AND IT WORKED !!!!!!!!!! Used the voucher and got the free chips and drink !!!!!!

Yes I know its a cheaky way to get free chips and drink, but hey, this is Ozbargain. Enjoy!

    • While this is a great way to score free food, I always attempt to answer the surveys as accurately as possible (otherwise they can't deliver improvements where they are needed most) and it's a tad difficult relating the past experience of a random individual.

If you're in an area where there are homeless people nearby, consider swapping the drink to a juice (full of sugar, but still much healthier than the soft drink varieties) or to a potato and gravy and giving it to them. While not the best food, it's damn sight better than starving.

do i have to go back to the same store i bought from to get the freebies? or can it be redeemed at any kfc?

    • -2

You may also need to go back to the year 2016, as the campaign ended in January 2016. 😁

      • -1

ahh look again genius, its an ongoing deal thats been going for years

        • -2

Sure, smartie. The deal on this page Last edited 12/08/2016

        • @alexshel:

and? i took my receipt in the other day & got my free drink & chips, the deal is still going! and the feedback site is still there!

  • By redeeming the Burger Combo Deluxe via the Xpress app and using this coupon (swapping out the drink for a potato and gravy), that's a Zinger burger, two small chips, two potato and gravies and a juice for $7.45. I can't get that level of calories per dollar at any other eatery in Canberra (I'm perenially underweight so it's a great place to attend if I have to buy lunch out).

    • How/where do you enter the coupon?
