  • any deals on AAA charger?

    • No deals on the charges from the looks of it.

Also, there is no AAA specific charger, any eneloop charger will work

  • +2

Plus because this time click & collect is available for Tropicals.
Edit - No Tropiucals in stock near me. Still might be good for others.

    • +1

      still no overnight charger..

      • Haha, keep waiting chonghe. It will happen for you eventually.
        Dick won't let you down.

      • +1

Aldi have got a Professional Battery Charger on sale 23/05, $14.99.
Might be worth checking out Chonghe.

        • Thanks so much for the info, will keep an eye on it

        • No probs, I am sure someone will post it.

  • +1

$39.98 seems like good value for the family pack, but since it's not specifically listed i'm guessing it has had a historical even lower price before
    http://www.dicksmith.com.au/batteries/eneloop-family-battery…

i've not owned any eneloops, so i'm sure a price expert will swoop in to correct me…

    • +1

value is ok…. cheaper to buy the parts individually. And it comes with the crappy overnight charger

  • If only the Pro 8 pack was $14.98 too.

  • any difference between Chocolate and Tropical other than the looks of it? kind of new to eneelops and still need the charger deal as well. Thanks!
seems like the most nsw stores are out of stock for click and collect for tropical 8x

    • These are now made in China and not Japan. The Pros are still made in Japan and are of better quality.

I went to order the AAAs and found to my DISGUST that Tricky Dicky has started advertising prices BERFORE TAX like they do in the good ole' USA and then adding the 10% GST on everything, including shipping, just as you go to pay. I'm rewarding this underhandedness by NOT SHOPPING AT Tricky Dicky so as to NOT ENCOURAGE this unwelcome initiative.

    • I think you are mistaken, said "Total $14.98 order total includes $1.36 GST" for me.

However the AAAs are showing as "Home Delivery Only", perhaps you mistook the shipping charge for GST?

      • My bad, I take it all back, I misread the way the transaction was totalled. So I went back and bought two packs of AAAs… :-) .. !!

    • You alright bro? GST is listed under the total but states it is included IN the total. $14.98 Eneloops are $14.98 Eneloops.

  • So many colours to pick from! Are there any differences? What would be best for general usage? Like for wireless mouse etc

    • +3

      Definitely chocolates for your mouse.

  • Can't make up my mind whether to go with one of these AA 2-packs:
    http://www.dicksmith.com.au/batteries/eneloop-rechargable-aa…
    Or
    http://www.dicksmith.com.au/batteries/eneloop-rechargeable-n…

Or get the pro 4-pack? But I only need 2 for the keyboard… Decisions decisions…

    • +2

If you buy only two, then when the ones in the keyboard go flat, you'll have no keyboard while they are charging. Murphy's law says the batteries will go flat at the most inopportune time, so you really need a minimum of four batteries.

Surely you have something else that could use rechargeable batteries? Once you have a charger, it rarely makes economic sense to buy non-rechargeables ever again. Think torches, radios, wall clocks, remote controls, computer mice, kid's toys? Also some cordless phones, some shavers, some electric toothbrushes and some cameras?

An added bonus: once you have rechargeables in everything, you'll never have to clean up a leaky battery ever again. NiMh batteries only leak if they have been treated badly, either by over-charging them (usually with "dumb" chargers), or by over-discharging them. And even then, it's a LOT less messy than alkaline batteries, and usually whatever they were in can be made to work again.

      • Sorry I didn't put the whole story, already have two spares from the mouse)) everything else in the house is on AAA. I don't really need Pro's for mouse/keyboard combo, do I?

        • +1

Correct. Pros are overkill for mice and keyboards, and expensive too. The only place I'd consider Eneloop Pros would be in a camera, where the extra ~20% of capacity means a few more photos, particularly if flash is needed.

  • After add them into cart, their price will be changed to 54.98…
    WTF..
