  • This costs more than my laptop :0
    Looks pretty powerful

    • Pretty sure it's still the most powerful available.

I mean it's kinda 'cheating' comparing 2 gpus on one card but it's still very good.

        Titan X

        • Nope, still beats it on a number of titles depending on optimization while costing $500 less.

    • When it was new it cost more than most gaming desktops.

      This is relatively dirt cheap.

The Titan Z comprehensively loses to the 295X2, despite costing $1500 more (at least at launch it did).

It's slower-clocked than the GTX 780 Ti and unlike the 295X2 doesn't feature an integrated water-cooling solution. The only conceivable reason a gamer would want a Titan Z is for is all that VRAM, which could possibly help with 4K gaming (keyword: possibly; highly debatable as this benchmark shows).

There is very little point to any of the Titan GPUs even in use cases other than gaming where NVidia claims the compute power of the Titan GPUs shines (the alleged benefits of the multitude of CUDA cores have yet to be demonstrated in anything other than incredibly-niche, made-for-NVidia benchmarks).

    • Edit: My bad.

with the 390 due soon this is the worst time to buy

  • At the cost of a GTX 980, with more performance than a $1600 Titan X, this is a bargain!

Just make sure you have the PSU to power it and the space to mount the radiator.

    HhhHhhhnnnnggggg

    NO!

  • Might as well wait for r9 3XX series now…

  • I assume there's been some progress in computer games since I used to play commended keen and jazz jackrabbit…

In terms of graphics ability, yes. In terms of enjoyment, no.

My boys have a xbox360, xb1 and the family pc is powerful enough to play anything, yet they seem to gravitate towards the games I used to play as a kid (the ones you mentioned plus the lost Vikings).

Dunno what it is, but the magic of gaming seems to be lost in my eyes.

since I used to play commended keen and jazz jackrabbit…

Commended Keen; sounds like a bad knock-off.

Also available from the same developer: Age of Umpires, Quokka 3 Arena, Super Steroid and Metal Hair Salad.

I just play MAME, good old 80s and 90s…

    • Don't forget the original Sierra games. Ahhhh good old police, Kings and leisure suit larry. Oh and space quest.

      • Kings quest and space quest, timeless classics.

        "Oh no! the sequel police"

  • List Price: $1,933.60
