  • I have a Fitbit Charge but I like this too.. i am an iphone person though and reviews suggest it doesn't work well together :-/

  • All this hype about wristbands which track exercise has me believe we live in a very fit nation indeed.

Was tempted to buy as gift, but reviews put me off: http://www.engadget.com/products/lg/lifeband/touch/

Just a word of caution - Yatango (formerly mobicity) have a horrendous reputation for delivering items in a timely manner if at all.

Its not uncommon to have items listed as "in stock" on their website and even through their web chat but then weeks down the track the true situation (ie they have no stock) is "clarified" to you.

Huge thread about it on Whirlpool:
    http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2166751&p…

    Story usually goes:
    1) Found cheap item at a better price than anywhere else
    2) Listed as in stock and even clarified as in stock through web chat due to poor company rep
    3) 2 weeks later item has not arrived and you begin to get concerned
    4) Emails and chats with web store reps promise you stock is coming soon and to hold on. They are usually unable to give a ETA or make up a false one which then gets pushed forward
    5) Step 4 may repeat several times dragging on time for 1+ months
    6) Customer gets frustrated at being continually lied to and then cancels the order and buys from somewhere else, having had their money tied up for 1+ months (Yatango charge straight away to your CC, not when it ships unlike Handtec/Clove - if they adopted this model, they would never get any income…)
    7) Yatango through some harassing of the WP rep offer a prompt refund. The only thing aside from payment being taken which is prompt from them.

They have a nice rep on WP as far as I can tell. The only thing keeping them in business and not being sued is that they issue refunds in a timely manner.

I've dealt with them personally before and have seen many other experience the same problems recently with the Nexus 6 when they were offering the 64GB model for ~$800 shipped. Suffice to say it was too good to be true and the item never got delivered and people eventually cancelled.

I'd personally avoid them like the plague.

    YMMV.

  • Having altimeter is nice. I guess what you really need to make this work its best is to have your phone stracpped to your arm in one of those phone pouches sync with this band to get distance travelled and elevation. No HRM would be pita though.

  • Shipping is not free for me at least, showing up as $9.95.

Was considering to I read no sleep tracking

  • Crooks! Have had 2 out of 3 orders cancelled because their sales guys "priced it too cheap" apparently, and it was a "regrettable error" - same email received on both occasions and I got emails that seem auto-responded to even when I replied saying different things!
