  • No proper description on the website for some items
Mane not supposed to go online yet

  • In t&c, mobile phone and accessories are excluded, so the dick may cancel your note4 order.

  • We wil see what happens now lol. Placed order for a Note 4.

    • I can't seem to get the code to work on the Note 4. Maybe they've fixed it?

  • I can't use the REWARD50 code when trying to purchase a Fitbit Surge "Large" - it says "Coupon code "REWARD50" is not valid."
I've searched the T&C's and don't see FitBit mentioned in the exclusions. Any idea's?

    • The only thing I can think of is checking for space bar spaces when you entered the coupon.

    • clear your cache or use a browser you haven't accessed dse from before.. had a similar issue yesterday

      • After cheking spelling and clearing the browser cache and still having no luck I deleted the surge from my shopping cart and added a DickSmith TV of simular value. With the TV as the only item in my cart the code was accepted so it seems the FitBit Surge is being excluded even though it is not mentioned on the T&C's exclusion list.

      • The wife got $40 off ($309) by showing the internet promo in-store this afternoon so that wasn't too bad. Was the cheepest I could find from a local retail store with Australian stock.

  • Miss those Ctech Note 4 deals :(

6 months if the current release schedule is held to. Notes are normally November releases.

  • Order fulfilled. Thanks TRENT86. Now to get my dad to pay me back lol.

They wouldnt cancel them. They trying to sell as much as andro as possible since the price keep dropping and no one wants to buy it.. So trust me.. They would not cancel the order…

    • Lol

  • can you change the title and tags so it doesn't relate to mobiles and give wrong info (title is now misleading as you now know it is valid for mobiles)

I will ask the mods but I think they like the post to show what it was voted for

      • OK, thanks Trent.

BTW seeing you are a great deal finder. Any deals on cheap, good mobiles. My son has broken his Z3 (6 months old) and I am not buying another $800 phone for him. something cheap that he can buy outright and works on 4g Telstra. (he uses FB/messenger, instagram mainly)

          You after Aus stock?

        • @TRENT86:
Yeah, unless grey is massively cheaper.
prob Android is best, maybe super deal on refurbed iphone, not really windows.

@PVA: To be honest you should probably look at the LG G3 For around $410 now, Bloody awesome phone, or do you not want to spend that much?

        • @TRENT86:
He actually was looking at one before he choose the Z3 - he had it done to Z3, Note4, G3, he did have a Z before and that why he got the Z3.
had it in his pocket a month back and was playing sports during lunch at school, tackled to the ground and now its bent (like the iphone6 bendgate, a bit worse than this http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ldzkk2HA0WY/VLVgotYtsSI/AAAAAAAAGQ…) it still worked until today.

Where for $410? I will have a look.(does it work with Telstra)

anything else not so high end but still good for a bit cheaper? Whats the best for $200?

        • +1

@PVA: L3 G3 Grey import And should work fine with Telstra

For around $200 I'm not too sure but I will have a look :)

        • @TRENT86:
Thanks, I will check that g3 out.

@PVA: Moto G 2nd Gen LTE is reasonably price for a very decent phone. From memory it is around $300.

          @PVA:
For around $200 you should be able to get something like the Motorola Moto G 4G, I can't think of too many others unlocked that are android and 4G for around $200 :(
You might be able to find a Samsung galaxy s3 4g Kmart for $249

          Anyone else got any suggestions??

        • @TRENT86:
Huawei Y550 is 4G and runs pretty smooth. Camera and screen not as good as top end phones. Were $49 a few weeks back and still a few on eBay being sold unlocked for $70-$80.

        • @billy_bob: Yeah I would have suggested that but it's Vodafone unless it comes unlocked but it does come with that $50 Vodafone sim I think?

        • @TRENT86:

Y550 stacks up as an amazing phone for the price - even at $99

under $3 unlock on ebay - I got two as presents.

  • Thanks for this post @TRENT86

I got an A5 for a friend late this afternoon. Went with the A5 for the quality of both cameras. Had trouble finding something useful in-stock for the $11 - so ended up getting an A5 cover which they brought down to $19 for me. So $423 all up - and after TRS tomorrow it will end up at $384.55 for white-stock! You're a star!

    • You picked up already? that was fast

      • Yes - had to because of flight out tomorrow morning. Had to phone around to find an A5 in stock. They kept it aside for me to come in and put it through as a price-match to discount on DS-online!

And from DS went straight to OfficeWorks to grab a pair of Tab 4 10.1's at $244 each (= $222 each after TRS GST refund.) So my carry-on will include my laptop plus two new tablets and four mobile phones - three of them new.

        • Lol legend! Hope you like the A5, Let me know how it goes m8 :)

        • @TRENT86:
          All thanks to your post.

As time ran out to find a bargain I was struggling to decide on which phone to get for this non-techie senior mate. Fall-back was the Huawei Y550 - but biggest downside was him ending up with a crappy camera. I hadn't really been aware of the Alpha and the A5, and so read a bit and then ran it by him for the green-light. I can always be swayed by a 'bargain'. So now my Mastercard has been Ozbargained!

@sw: Yeah bloody good price considering it's pretty much new
