    Would anyone recommend using this as dash camera? I really want a dash camera but dont want to buy those crapy one at ebay, also dont want to pay over $200 for a decent one.

        I've got mine mounted on my bicycle for commuting and although the video quality is generally great at 1080p (latest firmware says 50fps) - number plates appear to be fuzzy when in motion. I'd imagine this will be the same inside a car. Not sure how other dash cams go but to me it's useless as a dash cam.

      Doesn't auto start when you turn on your engine, so not great as a dash cam.

        Im more than happy to turn it on and off myself as long as i will be having a decent camera that can be used as action camera + dashcam. Will look more into it as this seems like hot deal!

        Wow, the Yi is spot on in white balance! (at least compared to the other two), although the overexposure on the SJ5000+ at night is potentially a good thing.

        The Yi also looks less murky and sharper.

        Any combo with the 5000mah slim powerbank? :)

      I think you're better off buying a dedicated dash cam. There are a lot more specific features involved.

      Best bang for buck is G1W-C

      I bought a $30 one of eBay that has a G-sensor to protect recorded footage if you are involved in an accident. It does the job.

      At the moment, there is only Chinese manual.

    Got this camera over a month now. The lack of screen makes it hard to know what is going on. Connecting it with a smartphone is quite easy, but then you have to handle both devices to be able to use the camera and know what is going on is a bit hard. It's like using both hands to draw a square and a circle at the same time …

    So, if you are going to have it fixed on your helmet or your bike, then go for it. If you intend to hold it, please think twice.

    Rep, any chance of another sale on the 16000mah Xiaomi battery packs to recharge these cameras? Seems that there have been a lot on sale recently through other vendors for $30-$40 but would prefer to buy from your store again.
